Help me decide among HTC HD2, Google Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy S

Yeah.. I got your point.. just wanted to clarify the Galaxy S scene.. there is another variant as well ; the Galaxy Tab.. which is actually releasing WITH Froyo.

    T-Mobile HTC G2

I really don't think WP7 phones will affect prices in anyway.

    The Samsung Galaxy S thread

They're working on the Vibrant, not i9000. teamdouche doesn't even have the i9000. And looking at how the release for the Vibrant has been delayed by a month and half.. its kinda irritating..

    Windows Phone 7 in-depth preview

Err no. That's crappy Samsung's RFS file system at fault. Use one of HTC's or Motorola phones running Froyo, (N1 and Desire have somewhat limited multitouch recognition though) they are as smooth as the iPhone. My G2 out of the box is as smooth as it can be without any tinkering or modifying...

Help me decide among HTC HD2, Google Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy S

Err, when I said the ROM's aren't cross compatible, I meant it. And they all have different hardware ; different file systems, different radios (different band support). Epic 4G has a front facing camera as well as a flash, Fascinate has a flash, Vibrant is identical but different keys layout in...

    T-Mobile HTC G2

I still suggest that you'll wait for a bit longer and import the Desire Z. Or even if you're importing the G2, wait for some more time unless you're in a hurry. Sent from my T-Mobile G2.

Not really ; the ROM's aren't cross compatible.

    T-Mobile HTC G2

Metal, I'm pretty sure there are people with successful unlocks who don't surf XDA or haven't bothered to report their successful unlock.. that said, I hope nothing of the sort happens to either of you.. Sent from my T-Mobile G2.

    T-Mobile HTC G2

@metal: My G2 is without any contract. Not worth signing a contract in the end. But AFAIK, to get a G2 you still need to have a TMobile number.. not sure though. I don't know any site that ships the G2 at full price without requiring account details. No idea if unlock codes are already...

Awesome! Do let me know how you like it. And how have you unlocked it?

    Motorola Milestone 2

If they do launch Storm 3, that wouldn't have any hardware QWERTY..

SGS build quality is like a tank ; looks and feels horrible, but extremely sturdy.

    T-Mobile HTC G2

That's Desire Z. G2 has 1700 AWS/2100 (First for T-Mobile USA, 2nd for Europe and Asia) 1. Yes, my hinge is very loose. BUT, it does not affect me at all during normal usage, even when lying in bed on my sides or on the back it does not affect me. It will only affect you if you are holding...

    Motorola Milestone 2

Should be 25-30k. I think the Desire Z is a better choice.

Help me decide among HTC HD2, Google Nexus One, Samsung Galaxy S

WP7 will have great enterprise and gaming support. I think everywhere else it will lag behind, and it'll take some time for it to come up. (Don't know.. just assuming) The SGS should be a great phone for quite some time to come.. along with the Desire HD and Desire Z.

    T-Mobile HTC G2

Let the pictures do the talking. :) Damages : $499 With Insurance Plan, 2 year extended warranty, they will service it even if there is physical damage, no questions asked, and if by chance I lose the phone, then I have to file a police report and after...

    Questions on Android phones?

The funny part is that he posted a similar topic a while ago : http://www.techenclave.com/mobile-phones/how-open-is-android-really-171319.html This topic started with a different question as to why Android phones cost as much as BB's.. but ultimately the same end.

The bootloader will be locked. Like how the Droid X bootloader is locked. Maybe even worse. I believe Motorola calls it eFuse.

    Questions on Android phones?

Since you've said that Android isn't open like you want it, mind expanding on that? All you've done so far is say that Android isn't actually open but I don't see any real points of debate. And in the end you've just poked at us trying to have a discussion with you.

    Questions on Android phones?

Buddy, in this world, the main aim of Google and the carriers is to make money. Don't expect free food and everything to be so nicely done for the consumers. Right now, Android is the most open OS available for mobile phones. HTC and Samsung phones are EASILY customizable and hackable, and...
