I am also using a no-name brand case. I tried the hdd in a diff case , but was not able to access the data.. i guess i need to try and use data recovery tools... do u guys have any suggestions.

New case didn't help.....from windows the write failure message comes and when tried from Dos , it says the drive cannot be accessed directly. Can't run check disk or defrag.... nothing... Which is the best tool,to retrieve the data from the disk, after that i guess i will have to format...
