+1 for spare battery. Atleast get one more. You are planning to tether with your S3. And its winter, its going to drain out much faster.

    Backing up DSLR photos

Had been searching for such a solution for a trip in Feb. For me, I will have access to a computer once every ~2days. So have got 3 pairs of 16gb cards (I will be mirroring). Planning to get this in future - http://www.amazon.com/RAVPower-FileHub-Wireless-External-File-Server/dp/B00AQUMZRA...

Review Amazon India - Feedback Thread

^^LOL Few experiences I had - Orders which are Amazon fulfilled are not a major hassle. They arrive within the time specified or in most cases, much earlier. My cousin had an issue with delivery during the festive season. They did not deliver for 3days even after the package reached town. The...

Intex launched Firefox smartphone at 1999 INR, India's cheapest smartphone

@srkmish I have been using it just as a mp3 player in aeroplane mode. I have to say that the battery life is pretty good. I charged it last friday and was playing music whenever I was driving (8+ hours), just checked the battery and its showing 67%. Still need to test it as a phone. Hopefully...

Intex launched Firefox smartphone at 1999 INR, India's cheapest smartphone

@Mechanic Yet to try this out as a phone. Will probably do that over the weekend. Battery lasted ~23hours with low - moderate use. @srkmish not that good. I would say somewhere between bad - average. Would have to set the volume to 70%+ for earphones and both high and low ends are clipped...

IT/form 16 returns acknowledgement for people residing out of country?

Get the softcopy of Form V, sign and mail it to the address (regular mail). Else, your tax consultant can file it for you. They might charge more for that. Dont worry even if it crosses 120days. But try to do it within that period. Max is they will send you a notice that you have not sent in...

Intex launched Firefox smartphone at 1999 INR, India's cheapest smartphone

@srkmish - Are you sure Mi Fx 1 has 256mb? I bought this on 27th or 28th and there was hardly any info on it. One more thing is I might not use it as a phone :). As said above, I just bought it out of curiosity. The differences I saw was front cam and 1400mah batt. I dont need the cam and maybe...

Intex launched Firefox smartphone at 1999 INR, India's cheapest smartphone

Just for curiosity I bought this. Was delivered ~45mins back. IMO, except for screen resolution, its not that bad. UI is quite fast. Much better than what some reviews say. I thought I had a micro SD but looks like ive lost it. Will have to wait a day or two get test this with more mem. I am...

    Review Flipkart - Feedback Thread

Cant believe we didnt have a feedback thread for Flipkart. I did a search and didnt find one. Please merge if its already here. Now the reason for post - I live in a Tier 2 city (Mysore) and so far their shipping used to be really good. I usually got the items very next day if shipped from...

How to make Indian Postal Service like USPS

I am not sure if USPS could be a benchmark. Few experiences - 1. USPS personnel are as friendly or as rude as India Post people are (at their office). I have not seen much diff. I can say that they are lot understaffed than India Post. 2. USPS lost 2 domestic parcels (i.e within US) when my wife...

Which country is suitable for a Drupal Developer? Canada (OR) Australia ???

I dont know much but maybe you can think this way - Does any of these 2 options allow you to consult on your own? I would take the one which offers it. The constraint of having to have a job and a work permit attached to it is always stressful.

Suggest a good Professional Toolkit [Drill+hammer+etc]

I have GSB 500 RE and its decent. The hammer is ok but other tools are not of very good quality i.e other than the drilling machine. Have used the DM on wall and wood and pretty satisfied. If you are looking for quality in the extra tools, you better buy them separately.

    Newegg calling India!

Until Indian law permits multibrand retail, no player can offer the services they do in other countries. Be it Amazon or Newegg. Unless Newegg is ready to tie up with an Indian player with majority stake. The only way Newegg can enter Indian market alone is as a market front just like Amazon...

    Review Flipkart’s shady business practices.

I randomly get 'No reviews found' for the Bosch product mentioned above. They have an internal API that the site talks to. And the API acts up once in a while. And, I did buy this one sometime last year (think I have not posted any review). The machine is pretty good but found the bits are not...

    Flipkart First ! (Premium Services)

Think this wont be a small list. Quite a lot of FK regulars might get it. I too got the mail. Regarding would I pay for such a service? It will depend on how much it costs and what benefits will be available in tier 2 cities (for me).

Motorola launches Moto E at Rs 6,999

When I bought Moto G (on launch day), I got a printed out page having addresses of couple of authorized service centers in my town. Not sure how equipped those are though.
