It's an Asus G series Laptop, and it should have an easy-user accessible rear service cover. We can most definitely install and upgrade the RAM, M.2 drive, and some more stuff ourselves.

No-one pointed out to the low battery life it has.

Check out the barebones from MSI and Clevo. Looks like these are the REAL desktop replacements that TEians/Gamers/Hard-Core users should actually be looking for. notebookreview(dot)(com) is full of appreciation about these barebones. Only if these were more readily available in India :(.
