I just got a CX400... I think they are great but they lack the thumping bass of the ep630... It doesn't mean that they dont have bass... they do have it and its balanced... P.S. I personally prefer them balanced... so +1 for CX400

AFAIK the ep830 and ep630 are technically the same... They have the same driver... Just a redesign and supposedly better bass...

I would also suggest the Canon 55-250mm IS for you... You would great quality out of this... But u'd have to swap lenses pretty often if u take random pics coz the 55-250mm would start where ur 18-55mm ends... So this would add to ur total zoom capability but with a lens change... And if u r on...

I still suggest that you go for a canon IXUS camera... Another reason why I am stressing on Canon is that you can get a firmware addon for canon, it's called CHDK (CHDK - CHDK Wiki). With this CHDK on your canon you can get pro features... The rest is up to you... Peace...
