Nvidia doesn't make any extra money on retail scalping, they sell their chips to aib partners at a set price and thats the only money they make after that the card can be sold for a million dollar and nvidia won't get shit from that sale.

The price was great when compared to 2000 series and pretty reasonable compared to 1000 series as 3060ti, 3070 and 3080( pre crypto launches) almost doubled the performance compared to similarly priced 1000 series card.

I'm seeing a lot of opinions on pricing, here's my 2 cents (assuming crypto will be dead by sept-oct): 3080 was 65% faster than 2080 yet maintained the same msrp, so performance increase doesn't mean price increase. And they sold a lot more of these 3000 series GPU than they did 2000 series so...

I agree, not worth spending so much with the launch of next gen so close especially if you are spending 60k plus since that range of GPUs will launch first.
