I had the same issue & the CC guys told me Battery has only 6months. But after some Complaint Escalations they replaced the battery. If the CC guys isn't giving you the battery, keep on escalating the call till it gets solved.

For just browsing Windows is not needed. Just use some Linux variants with Firefox installed.

The only problem with Reliance BB Wireline is their Billing. You will get bill amounts which have absolute no relation with the actual amounts. I had to go to their office every month to fix the bill. Got fed up after sometime & moved to Airtel.
