ok...... I forgot to mention...... u need 2Mbps to test....... Even I get 1Mbps on both modulations during my 1Mbps period..... but after 8PM I get 2Mbps...... thts when speed increases frm 100 to 140KBps only, instead of 200KBps....

Try going to ur xchg and tell the engineer to do something abt the ping...... tell him to chg some settings/port........

am in the same area...... MTNL UL1333..... linesmen maintain the lines very well here....... few wks back had noise in line..... they turned up nxt day itself tht too on Sunday....... Hardly any downtime frm MTNL to report...... Ping tends to fluctuate as per the routes MTNL takes...... right...

Well....... I will chk tht once IPv6 starts on MTNL..... My understanding is tht, let router handle ADSL part and let OS handle the PPPoE part in Bridge mode where IPv6 will be involved.:p U maybe right but we'll hav to wait n c...:)

IPv4 legacy support will remain even after IPv6 switch. Also if want IPv6 and dont want to buy new router, just switch to Bridge mode and let OS handle IPv6. All u'll need is IPv6 compliant OS like Win7.
