Nod32 is slightly lighter. But its virus def is much weaker than kav. I use KIS it uses between 12 and 25mb in most cases (on 512mb machine). So, its very light also. Considering both usage and virus defn, KAV is better (unless you have a p3 with 128mb ram).

Dont use too aggressive ones. I think Regsupreme and jv16 were the program that had caused problems for me. I use tuneup utilities now. No problems at all with it.
