I read about that, you could try the rthdribl test to verify that assumption about the mem overheating. If it turns out to be true, I would suggest you get hold of thermal pads from deejay or locally asap.

Your power profile is set correctly? When you say standby mode, is the comp behaving properly after you Alt+Tab from the game? You could simulate the scenario by running rthdribl for about 30mins or so and see the behaviour. Also run RivaTuner h/w monitoring in the background to capture the temps.

Most of you guys use Prime95/SuperPI to check for OC stability. How many of you use this one OCCT? One thing I noticed was, the "test" option in this program fails in just a couple of minutes on a particular oc when the same thing failed after about 4 hrs on Prime. Any info on how it works...

On my board I have just two SATA ports which I think is controlled by nF3 itself. You might want to shift your drives to the two SATA ports near the CPU. That's what I've been using and so far no problems. Sorry I take back what I said - refer this article...
