Mate, Forget unlocking thingy on Athlon 2 now ! Since all athlons manufactured now are a native design unlike at the begning where Phenom's with cache disabled were sold as athlon 2 to meet the market requirement.

Mate, Athlon2 X2 does not have a L3 Cache ! it has only L1 & L2 Cache, Yes L2 Or L3 cache does make a difference in performance, more so in gaming.
