thanks for all your help friends.. my budget had to be brought down so i have ordered a 5738g without OS.. getting it for 30k.. have also taken the 3 year warranty.. laptop will be delivered tomorrow.

ohk. so why is the cost difference between a similarly spec'd inspiron14 and a sudio14? what is the major difference?

i checked this laptop at croma in ahmedabad today and the 3D effect is pretty impressive. but i am not sure if the normal videos can be played in 3D mode as the sales rep said only 3D videos are supported. but the effect is pretty good with object coming to life outside the screen.

^^ i had checked inspiron 14 also. it costs around 45k. are you sure the price is so low? too much of a difference even if it is without the OS. i'm getting acer aspire 5738g for 40 to 41k most of the places. and getting it for 38.5k from an acer dealer. how is the deal at 38.5k? and the sales...
