In need of a P&S camera. Must have features are image stabilization, face recognition, good video recording. Max budget is 8k and be best VFM.
My preferred brands are nikkon and cannon

This is also a good choice.. but features are good in Panasonic. just visit the near by store and chk out both then take decision.
Go to any nearest Sony Store and check it out yourself.
The next model W570 costs 10k and has much better pic quality, 16MP, 5X Zoom, 720p Video Recording.

8800/- Nothing less, nothing more. You can’t bargain on Sony products, and the price of any product will be same everywhere for that zone, this is what I came to know while buying this. All the shops I considered, same price and no bargain. And then I came to know this, one shopkeeper told “Sir, sony products are marketed that way only, no one can sell below that price and no one can sell above that price. It’s like fixed price. No bargain.” So I asked what about discounts?? MRP is 8990/-. He says “You go to any shop, they will also tell you this price, you won’t get huge discount on Sony products ever”.

if looking in 8k budget i will suggest have a look at sony w350 its old but good also if you can strech your budget look at fujifilm z700exr or if cannot extend budget look at z70
