Will this do the job? or is it better to spend on some good air duster?
I’ve had that. If you’re talking about cleaning your keyboard, maybe.
But I’ve used a wired air blower to do the job. It’s not perfect, since the nozzle is kinda huge but it does its job in ‘generally’ clearing out the dust.
Check it out.
thank you searched for one but didnt find any affordable one like this . i am not sure to get this or get 2k one as an investment.
This will absolutely not do the job. It will in fact not even clean your keyboard. In fact, keyboard cleaning is whole different beast.
Like @shinada suggested, a blower is a worthy investment. I have never been without a blower. And it is especially useful if you live in a dusty environment or even on the ground to 2nd floors close to a road.
The blower is effective for cleaning hidden dust in the radiator fins and in the PSUs as well.
what about electric one which costs around 2k on amazon Portronics Tornado, Mini Handheld High Speed Air Duster, Rechargeable Type-C, for Cleaning Computers, Cars, Backyard and Home Appliances, Cordless & Compact, Adjustable Speed, Up to 130000 RPM (Black) : Amazon.in: Office Products
These are okay, but they will simply not have as much power as the socket blowers. But for focused cleaning or small surface areas, the battery powered ones will do the job. If you however want to haul out your gaming PC and clean the bejesus out of it, opt for the wall socket ones.
If your cleaing requirements are limited and more delicate, go for the battery powered ones.
let me make it clear i want to clean motherboard, gpu , aio cooler radiator fans and normal pc case fans. will the one i suggested work?
Been using this for the last 3 years or so to give my PC a dusting once every 3-4 months. Works great honestly.
I saw a video of it. While small nozzle maybe good for the little areas, the power seems ok. You might have to really get in there to get the job done properly.
The air blower i listed could be done from distance and basically blows out most of the dust. The little things I clean using cloth or something smaller.
No.
Get a proper blower like @shinada has suggested.
Remember to hold your fans when you dust them.
Use a non static brush to clean small areas and crevices.
Amazon.in - This does the job for me.
Some kind of fine dust comes and settles on the cabinet, UPS and keyboard.
I used a soft cloth to clean the dust while inside of the cabinet I call a professional to clean the parts every 6 months or 1 year. Okay.
If we use any blower the capacitors may get blown away I think.
I use something similar to this, but it’s wireless. Can’t see it on Amazon anymore. It was expensive, but I’ve used it several times since 2022, and it was a more cost effective long term solution compared to the compressed air cans I used to buy. It works quite well, and I’ve cleaned my PC with it several times with no issues. However, you would still need to use a cloth to wipe the stubborn dust particles that are stuck on surfaces inside of your cabinet for thorough cleaning.

I’ve actually used this kind of manual cleaner myself, and honestly – after just a few minutes, my hands were aching like crazy! It gets tiring really fast, especially when you have a big cleanup. That’s why I recommend to invest in an automated air blower as per others suggestion
Blower doesn’t work for internal components, for majority of the loose dust, blower does work fine. If you need to clean your motherboard/other sensitive components, it could potentially damage it. Like blow of your capacitors what not. I steer away from blowing directly into the components itself.
