hi this was the confi.. given to me by my vendor what changes r needed in the motherboard dep.. planning to go in for a seperate graphic card and one more thing can i get a cheaper cabinet so that i can divert the funds to buy better graphics card

Total System Price 34250 what changes do u think r neccesary barring the monitor(going for a flat one),keyboard and optical mouse p.s r floopy drives neccesary

try to go for 1 GB as it helps in gaming .

any graphics card you are looking out for ?

make sure that the RAM is Sealed pack and comes with Transcend Warrenty card…

make sure you go for 512x2 for dual channel :wink:

well..there is A8V, but it doesnt have built in gfx option…

Get an Asus A8N-E(8.5K) and a 3000+(6.8-7k). Will be better than getting that msi board. The extra 200MHz can easily be got by overclocking :).

Amd 3200 should cost 300-800 cheaper.

go for a better mobo
msi nforce 4 preferably with sli or asus a8n sli or its dlx mobo

cabinet can be reduced

go in for 160gb sata seagate for 4250

i don’t think your mobo supports ddr 2 ram.

also, go for microsoft ms optical wheel mouse,(the one with a better censor)

go another mobo-either the a8n sli or gigabyte sli one or msi nforce4
coz the rs480 isnt to gud u will regret it later as the mobo is the most essentialpart of ur config

In your list you have posted DDR2 400. AMD needs DDR and not DDR2. make sure you get that right otherwise you will buy the RAM that dosent work on your PC.
Anyway here is my suggestions.

Try to skip RS480 if you plan to buy a graphic card saperately.
You can go for cheaper AGP motherboard if you dont have budget for high end PCI express boards.
But A8N-E is good PCi express motherboard for the price.

About RAM. dont go for transcend 512MB. You would really want to get 1GB if gaming is your aim. Try to find original Hynix D43 chips( yes its hard to get original hynix but I can help you get original hynix if you nedd it). Its better RAM than transcend. Overclocks better. 1GB Hynix d43 can be obtained for 5500-5750.

Do you really need SLK? What PSU it comes with? if its 300/350 Watt then you definitely dont want that. Get a deascent cabinet and 450Watt Antec if your budget permits it.

About graphic card. Nothing less than 6600GT will do for a gamer who wants some eye candy.

If you really want the nice setup which has chance to last for some time then you will have to shell out around 50K for whole setup. You keep thinking of making small adjustment but that small elimination sometimes costs mucm more in the long run.

You dont need to buy their PSU.
You can simply buy the cabinet and a quality PSU.
VIP, Ibox cabinets are deascent. Some are really good for normal use.

Actually, I once happened to read a comparision of PSUs in some international site (Maybe US). And guess what? Powersafe was deemed the worst PSU company. :face_with_tongue: (It is known by some other name overseas. Don’t remember it exactly, though!) :face_with_tongue:
