Well thought abt all the threads asking for configs based on budgets and to help everyone am posting this thread with configs based on various budgets. Am quite bad with my memory, so may forget to add some good components which anyone else is welcome to add. If anyone else has a better config for a budget, they’re welcome to post it here. Also, have lost touch with Intel completely, so am gonna post configs based on AMD here. Anyone with knowledge of Intel-based systems may also post here.

NOTE : All the rates are those here in Chennai.

Ahem, as I have stated above, my “super” memory has helped me forget 2 very important things - HDD and DVD-RW. So, am adding it to my config and changing it to the following. If any mods can, pls. integrate this to my previous post and delete this.

in the 53k config…i think it will be better for going for a lower-end cabby or droppin the mx518 and use the remaining for a sblive 7.1..which i feel wud do justice for the atp3s…watsay freaky? :wink:

Absolutely. All suggestions are welcome. The MX518 is only an option which is why have used the slashes. Anything else that can be fit in depends on the preference of the buyer. Why dont ya just update that config of mine ? Add the SBLive as an option with the statement in brackets that it can be subbed for the 518.

OT - Are u coming for the TE Expo, Smithy ? If so, will be very glad to be meeting ya again. Also, remember the favor that I asked of ya ? Think its time to bring it in.

This thread lacks a high end config for those planning to upgrade later this year - here’s a list of things I pulled together for my upgrade :wink: Hope this helps some of you decide whether to upgrade now/later… I wouldn’t say it’s the ultimate upgrade but it will be one helluva PC without doubt!!

You may need to substitute components because some will not be available in India; but overall I think this is a pretty decent estimate of how much a high end PC would cost in 6 months.

why is there no best buy for price type config… say a medium range or a basic low end config for poor ppl //like me… :wink:
isnt there a config of min 20k or 19k or 18k…

Here’s a config with the bare necessities for roughly 19k… you could also set up an Intel Celeron rig within the same budget.

You can get em for even lower than that. Sempron 2500+ 2.5k and the mobo 2.4k. 512 MB RAM for 1.7k and 80 GB HDD 2k. Combo drive 1.5k. Any 400W Psu is more than enough for this rig, 400 bucks for the same.

hey every1. Can anybody suggest me a gud GAMING PC config for abt 50-55k.
BUT the point to b considered is that i wont b upgrading that PC for the next 5 yrs. wl it b able to hang around 4 that long??:huh:
i knw its absurd…another ques is that wether i shud spend all my bucks rt nw or 40K nw + 15K later after 2 yrs???and wudnt it b better if i buy a pc rt nw without a graph card and buy a card around NOV wen ut 2K7 is released.
till then DX 10 wl b around also…
plz sugest a config. btw intel dual core or amd dual core???cosider with budget in mind..i think that with a gud graphic card i wud b able to coverup the diff between the performance diff between the two..am i rt??
