I am totally confused on what gfx card I want to buy.I dont have much knoweldge on gfz cards… My budget is like around 8000 INR. But I will be getting it from Singapore. So what should I go for? GeForce 6600GT ? Ati X800 ?
128 MB? 256 MB?
DDR? DDR2? DDR3?
AGP? PCI XPRESS?

Get the 6600GT 128mb Pci-ex from leadtek or XFX, i think datz what you can get in 8000Rs.

X800 GTO is your best bet, beats the 6600 GT hollow, and is faster then 6800 NU too.
Hmm, X800GTO would make sense here…
Do try and see if you can grab a 6800GS, there are some insane deals in S’pore…

Nway, i since there is no support for SM 3.0, a 6600GT or 6800 seems a safer bet.
Nway, dont know how about in future games but it makes rather a big difference imo, when playin AOE III..
^^ SM 3.0 performance in 6600 GT would be absymal, so most of the times HDR lightingwould be off. G70 is a diff story altogeher
heh hee…abs right. The 6600GT has sold in volumes here probably because of the pricing and that 1 Ghz DDR3 that everybody looks at…
Also I think a 6800GS X800GTO would be much better and last longer as well..
g70 has good SM 3.0 performance but I think X1800 will edge it out…
ATI has always been better at designing Pixel shader units…while NVDIA focused more on shadows etc… I think the U.S 2 was more for DOOM 3 than anything else..
