Made from Marine ply supposedly. Original laminate. Not yet replaced.
Monitor deck- it is double taped to the desk and can be taken off with force. Also acts as a small storage area right in front.
The mouse and keyboard tray sit on smooth rails and can be pulled out an additional few inches.
The subwoofer tray also sits on smooth rails and can be pulled out a couple inches too. The movement is akin to that of a good modular kitchen trolley.
I got the rear of the desk drilled out so I could pass cables through.
I believe the rear of the desk has the thinnest plywood in the entire construction.
One final quirk is the small hinged platform on the left of the desk. Setting it up gives you an additional 5-6 inches of desk space.
