Cyclone Ditwah is wreaking havoc in TN

Hello all,

Cyclone Diwah is wreaking havoc in TN
It killed already 5 people in TN
It already wreaked havoc in Sri Lanka by killing some 250 people.

It’s going to cross into land between Mahabalipuram & Ennore.

We are just 13 kms south of Mahabalipuram. Pondicherry is 82 kms south of us.

All of you who are in north coastal TN
Stay safe and don’t come out until tomorrow evening unless necessary.

Sri Lanka is devastated with heavy toll on life, infra and residential areas. Tough situation to deal with.

I guess it is making landfall near mahabalipuram (windy app shows like that).

I’m in porur area hopefully there are not much winds.

The dichotomy of not wanting strong rains and winds for obvious reasons. But also want enough of rains else we will suffer in the summer due to no water :face_with_spiral_eyes:

Stay safe guys. Dont take chances with Nature and try to be a venture out unnecessarily or better move to safe area if you have an option.

Nature can really leave nothing on its path if it goes crazy.

Seems it misses Pondicherry a lot and has gone back to recharge itself. Most Chennaites do so.

@bssunilreddy Stay safe, recharge and have proper food, emergency supplies etc., Don’t worry if this one fizzles out. It is the month of December and many more depressions are on the way, like in the past.
