Thanks. Done.

Even my connection is bad. Ghanta ka 5G.

I was wondering since past few days why YouTube is not playing videos smoothly.

must resist

I came close to getting an Ecoflow last time because of the UPS capability, but then I saw some Reddit posts about their UPS capabilities that made me hesitant. Not sure how accurate the Reddit posts are though.

Summary
Source: copied directly from of one of the posts below

EcoFlow’s UPS functionality works, but it has limitations compared to dedicated UPS devices:

  1. Voltage tolerance is wider than most traditional UPS units, which could be a concern for sensitive electronics.

  2. Built-in surge protection is weak (≤150J), so you should use a separate surge protector rated for at least 1000J for proper protection.

  3. EcoFlow confused surge handling ability with actual surge protection, which raises concerns about how well they understand or implement UPS protections.

  4. You cannot adjust input sensitivity, so if you need tighter voltage regulation, you may need a traditional UPS instead.

  5. EcoFlow is not transparent about its UPS specs, and some specifications are considered “commercially sensitive” and are not disclosed to customers.

Most of the criticisms about these units come from expectations of it either replacing a standard desktop ups or a portable mini generator. It’s just a portable power station, an oversized power bank.

For us on 230V, it’s unclear what the voltage tolerances are. I really would like to test this out.

Surge protection is more important in the US because they have such a low density of houses, a surge originating from a transformer or pole has very few places to go to, unlike like here where you’d probably have a dozen or two connections for every pole. That’s why something as simple as a mov inside a multiplug is often effective for us — because the surges we receive at an outlet are comparatively small.

Surge handling will always be lower for a high-frequency inverter compared to a traditional UPS with a heavy transformer. You can get decent surge capacity, just not at this price point.

I’m more interested in using this as a DC UPS through the 12V automotive receptacle or the USB ports.

do not give in. we did it the last time and can do it now too.

the LiFePO4 battery is waiting for you.

same. except it was 1-2 YouTube videos for me where they talked about the lack of after sales service and issues with warranty. the customer service just pushes you to replace the board - like APC?

I’m using river 2 as UPS for desktop + router - didn’t observe any shutdowns during powercuts so far.
