well i m not sure in f.e.a.r will run @ all on the 6100/6150 onboard the asus/biostar boards, if it will, will it be giving 30fps @ 800X600 ? given the way it pushes high end cards to the limit, i really fear…anyways if i go for a 6200 based add on pcix, will it play the game (@ low settings, 800X600 ?)
am asking this for im on a budget for my second PC.
Maybe itll run at All Low 640*480.

6200 and 6100 is hardly any different from each other.
believe me buddy u will not want to play fear on that board … my fren have 6200 with 512Mb ram and installed the game and started and it went on loading like forever he has to reset the comp …
so what’s the least gpu REQD? 6600 ?
Gfrag’s correct. The game ran just about decently (25ish fps) on my friend’s RS480 onboard at 640x480 with all effects set to ‘low’.
i will say at least 6600GT there wise it dones’t worth playing … FEAR is all about graphics …
I played a bit of fear on a oced 6600 xfx well u cannot play the game with 1024* with the setting on even higher medium…800*600 with some settings on high…its a game built for a powerful gpu…but it was still fun…i actually got psyched and gave the game to my friend dint play musch of it dont wanna also demented game hehe
i played f.e.a.r on my 1ghz p3, 512mb sdram and a geforce fx5200 128mb ddr with the settings on low. got 20 fps. around 20 average, 5 low and 40 max.
me played on my 9600Pro @ 800*600 all high @ ~20FPS
i tried it in my 9800pro at medium gfx, 800*600 and it ran pretty smoothly
