Any recommendation for games like Dark Souls/Demon Souls?
I loved Lies of P which was much like Dark souls but it was free on Gamepass then my subscription dies and I never got to finish it.
I checked it is too expensive . Even Elden Ring is too expensive with only 20-40% off and these games were already very high priced so even with decent discounts they are expensive.
So looking at something within 1k and something like them.
Let me know if you guys have any good recommendation for this winter sale.
Japanese publishers in general give very poor regional pricing in India.
And dark souls i think they anyway kept $ price high for everyone for some reason even though its old.
Not my type of games i think anyway. Always seem too tedious and slow.
Maybe search for something like āsouls like cheapā and see what you like.
Furi is not a souls like but has nice fast paced gameplay. Maybe see if you like that. I loved it. And look at Jedi Fallen order and sequel but they are probably more approachable ones.
Epic has given away a few of them too, dont remember names and we have 2D souls like games too.

I personally find these a bit boring, nothing really captures the essence of Dark Souls or for that matter Hidetaka Miyazaki games in general are quite different. Thereās no hand holding in his games, you figure out the world by being in the world. Every other game usually very deliberately explains lore and other things to you. The same reason why dark souls is not for most people.
Wasnāt like this. It started with Sekiro with Activision. They had a good price for Elden ring (2500) when launched and then suddenly couple of years back, they increased the price for all their games including dark souls 1, 2 and 3.
Yeah that maybe for these games, but in general, if you look at Japanese publishers Indian regional pricing is very poor. Overall anyway it has become worse, but esp true for them. Just something i noticed, could be wrong.
The pricing for square enix was very good. Even all the JRPGs from other publishers with games like Ys, final fantasy, dragon quest, Monster hunter, Persona etc. were well priced. I donāt know now.
Iām a souls veteran, having completed all games and the answer is gotta be in 2 parts
Game Recommendation : Try Sekiro, its the closest to Lies of P.
āSailing the high seasā for Sekiro should be a no brainer since its a Single player game, while the rest of the fromsoft games have a significant (but optional) multiplayer aspect with friendly summons (to help clear bossess and areas) and invaders ( like me, whoād randomly join ur game to kick you down)
Then you should try the Dark souls 1, 2 and 3 and then iād recommend trying Elden Ring.
Your purchase : If you want a game that captures the magic of souls game in a budget : Hollow Knight. YES, its 2D, but thereās a reason Steam crashed when Hollow Knight : Silksong was released this year.

Blasphemous is amazing. If anyone really want to delve into metroidvania I recommend Axiom verge, Ender lilies, Castlevania: SotN and Bloodstained: RotN.
As for soulslike only titles, I recommend all of dark souls and bloodborne (if not on console then use RPCS3, its recent advancements made it fully playable)
Not pure souls like but try black myth wukong too. Great story, I was about to get a refund for the game as I normally have stopped playing this genre but somehow I didnt give up and then I got addicted and completed it 6 times. Only con is it hasnt gotten any meaningful discount till date and is always above 2k.
Silksong was one with high difficulty. Blasphemous is similar with medieval catholic spain as backdrop. The lasy faith is just tries to copy bloodborne setting in 2d.
