Check the thread above. Only users who satisfy the criteria mentioned there get access to messaging and market section. If you had made all your posts in technical sections within a span of 2 to 3 days to gain market access, then your privileges would have been revoked automatically during this transition.

You can get marketplace access/DM privilege for free by gaining basic member level for which you need to make 25 posts on 15 different days in relevant sections which exclude marketplace & general forum section. Paid subscription is mainly for those new members who either can’t wait or don’t want the hassle of making 25 posts on 15 different days. Also, don’t go on posting low effort posts just to meet the quota as that will likely result in ban.

15 different days, consecutive or not doesn’t matter. Also, posts need to be made in relevant sections & not marketplace/general section.

I seem to have lost access to marketplace since the website got updated to discourse. Any pointers to fix that? My profile says I have been active for 14 days. My account is 14 years old and I sure have been active for hundreds of days. Hoping that I’ll get access tomorrow when those 15 days will complete.
Another note: If you login via Google instead of using the gmail id as email for login, it seems that the account is treated as a fresh one. I logged back in using my email id and it shows the gmail id as a connected account.

The 15 day limit is for making the 25 posts. These posts should be spread over 15 days rather than all posts being on 1 or 2 days. Your profile shows that you have made more the required number of posts in 14 days. Post something meaningful in one of the technical sections for one more day, and you will reach the threshold. It takes another 24 hours since then for the market access to be automatically enabled.

I read the How-To s for the new site and understood that the new system has some requirements. I don’t see the trader tab under my profile though.
