I’m putting together a list of go to Indian online stores for all things electronics tools, components, kits, you name it. I have made this list over the last few years. Whether you are building your latest project or just stocking up your workbench, having the right source can make all the difference. Here is what I have found so far :-
What are your favorite sites to shop for electronics?
Do you have a hidden gem I missed or a pro tip for getting the best deals? Share below and let’s help our fellow makers!
Pretty exhaustive list.
But a word of warning - not all have the same level of service so always contact them to check before ordering. If they don’t respond move on to the next one. Some of these have threads here in TE where members have shared their experience, so make sure to search and review those.
Here are couple more -
hubtronics.in - Good prices, fast shipping and good collection of items
fabtolab.com - Has a lot of weird niche items. The item I ordered took almost a month to arrive.
I ordered a Alfa AWUS036AXML. A wifi adapter for 4.5k with Wifi6. Offers monitor mode. Alfa adapters on other sites with lower specs are far more expensive.
Like this adapter is 11k on amazon which is lower spec than mine.
If you are looking for hard to find hacking tools you can find it on this site. For example I want to get this in the future. A very powerful SDR tool.
robu.in - Ordered components. Planning to order PCBs if I finalize my project.
ree52.com - Official raspberry pi vendor in India. Ordered some stuff as well.
Going to Raspberry Pi official site to see official resellers in the country is a good way to find reputed electronics stores as well.
) they are really good. They were the first in India with proper online integration, DFM, etc, no need to call or such, everything gets sorted out over the mails. Robu came later with their service, to take the lead, they started offering minimum order quantity of 5. Now lioncircuits also offers the same, earlier it was 10.
Purchased some stuff from makerbazar.in about a year ago, got delivered quickly but their customer service is bad and never resolved my issues and they don’t publish negative reviews on product page
Not really beneficial for us, cause they only have mobile parts, the other one you posted maxbhi.com is okay, because they do have bench power supplies, soldering tools etc.
Ordering phone/tablet/laptop batteries online is a gamble. Unfortunately there are no reliable sites for this. Half of the phone batteries that I ordered were just simply trash.
Went around Chandni market (Kolkata)and got tablet battery fixed with 6 months warranty.
I think get locally fixed is better specially if you can get it done in front of you and check everything.
Lot of minor tools are required.
Even though it was not at all difficult to change the battery.
But It was tough to open the back cover nicely and patiently and with minor tools to heat guns etc.
Yeah giving a professional who has far more practice with phones and tablets is always easier. I did one screen and battery replacement on a Mi phone and had issues like mushy volume buttons later.
Putting on a screen guard is another thing which I can’t ever do well.
