I have Xstream Fiber Connection at my home. Now for Live TV, the only platform is JioTV+ in India that offers nearly all major channels at one platform.
So, wanted to ask if it’s possible to use JioTV App on Samsung SmartTV through any cost-effective means. ( Like Buying TataPlay Binge Set Top Box or FireTV Stick.)
OR if I buy standalone Jio Set Top Box , will it work without any subscription ?
OR Is there any other way to watch LiveTV on Samsung SmartTV through any app or service ?
you cant buy standalone jio setbox
and you can access jiotv with your jio number also [ if you have one] try downloading the app on your samsung tv and see if it allows login with a jio number

Jio tv + app works on my Onn tv box, the catch here is your will need to connect to jio fibre network for it to work . I already have jio fibre and jio set top box installed in one room so it works fine as long as you connect the other box to the same network. The cheapest plan available is backup plan for 199 per month for 10 Mbps and 200 per month OTT subscription.
Try a local tv service provider, I have a jio setbox at my home which only plays live tv channels. It’s basically cable tv.

After searching a lot I found this site which looks very much similar to this forum and got the answer.
JioTV+ works on any android platform like TataPlay Binge Box / FireTV Stick / Xstream Box BUT requires a Jio Fiber/ AirFiber Connection.
I only wanted to try JioTV+ cause the picture clarity is so much better than normal DTH Provider.
Kodi is great too but it keeps updating and requires frequent setup.
Guess, Have to use TataPlay DTH for now until Jio comes with subscription like service for JioTV+.
