JioFiber vs Airtel Xtreme

I was using Jio AirFiber till last month. It still has 1tb fup. Last month I hit it with just usual downloading. Its too low. And it goes down anytime, you cant predict. Even living in the heart of India’s Silicon Valley, the speed it shit

The 1tb fup was the deal breaker for me. That’s why I cancelled the installation.

In this day and age 1tb monthly is chicken feed for someone like me.

3tb is the normal fup. I don’t understand the logic behind offering 1/3rd the normal of the industry standard.

I’m very curious. What do you guys do to exhaust a TB?

If you do gaming, virtual reality stuff, believe me 1tb is easy to blow up in a week…

In times of Online Gaming, OTT or Sea faring, 1 Tb might vanish pretty soon.

What speeds you guys are on. I do all the stuff you guys mentioned. Dota/CS/OnceHuman. I even have a ps5 & a quest 2. But I still am left with around 200-300gb every month. But im on a 100mbps plan.

You stream a 8k vr file it’s an easy download of around 80GB.

You do the math.

Do you live alone or other people also share the bandwidth?

I live alone.

I can consume 500GB a day doing VR “stuff”. VR is a data guzzler.

My friend who is currently using JioFiber 30mbps plan, manages to hit 2Tb monthly..god knows what he does with that much data on just a 30mbps plan

How often are you downloading VR videos?

I used to play a stupid game where weekly patches were 80GB. Auto update for that game alone is 400GB per month. Normal usage alone with a pc, 2 wfh laptop, 6 phones is 30-50GB per day. I imagine heavy users will easily hit 2TB a month. It’s high time the 300Mbps+ packages need a higher cap.

Hi, i have a question about xx530v, does it have bandwidth control to remove bufferbloat, especially download bandwidth control? or any another speed control features for connected clients? Also, hows its QOS? A reply would be greatly appreciated.

Airtel has terrible routing to singapore and middle east lately, jio seems better .

It used to be great getting around 75 ms to singapore but now its all over the place

Which games you are talking about?

any game with singapore servers tbh

im getting 50ping to singapore in r6 airtel fiber

If you want truly unlimited, get Excitel. Couple of times have crossed 10TB and usually hovers around 5TB usage per month. Was on Airtel 1Gbps line Business plan which gave 10TB FUP and free static. Routing degraded in the past couple of months plus they changed their 3+1 plan so had to move.
Shifted to ACT, never been happier. Although behind CG-NAT, still get better pings both Multiplayer and xcloud.

Excitel isn’t unlimited.

I used to use it few years ago. I think i had uploaded ~ 2TB worth files and they disabled my account. Thankfully i only pay it every month so didn’t lose out on lot.

Apparently it was commercial use. I now use Airtel in my office and local broadband in my home.
It is behind CGNAT but is cheap af. I pay like 450 for 300mbps connection without FUP.
