Are there any further changes required in this rig ??
Enough of this heating issue If I find the guy who originated this idea, I’d surely kill him.
@zoheb,
No, AMD doesn’t have any heat issue. Look at my signature. My core temps vary from 26C to 35C max provided I’ve got no AC. Does that sound like overheating??
Overclocking ?? Didn’t understand what you tried to say. Overclocking is a lot easy on AMD processor thanks to many BE(Black Editions) processor which have unlocked multiplier. And about Intel, they price insanely higer for the unlocked multi versions (Extreme series).
As I told you, performance wise, AMD processors beats the Intel processors at the same price level in most of the cases. Do not worry about AMD. Go ahead, buy them. I’m sure you will thank me later.
i will suggest you to wait for a while for the GPU as AMD will be launching it’s 5800 series by september-october this year. so,that will be a worth waiting.
If you’ll be buying the pc in october then you can have the latest intel Core i5.
So,all you’ve got to do is wait!!
If i were you i’d wait for a while or if you are in hurry then atleast you could wait for the GPU but make sure that the board you are gonna buy has onboard GPU.
man you have kept only 3k for your PSU i suppose all you can get for that money is Corsair 400 CX..
it doesn’t makes sense that you’re spending 60k’s & not getting any good PSU.
i would suggest you to go for at least Corsair TX 650 but i would recommend HX850 coz without a good PSU you can’t overclock your processor to it’s limits or run Multiple GPU also keep in mind that the output of the PSU isn’t actually the same as mentioned the PSU are now certified as 80 plus or 85 plus certified which means that it would be 80 or 85% efficient at full 100% loads.
You are welcome. If your budget is 60k, always try to bring 65k there. You will see why. Consider the VAT for 2.5k and the rest for anything like 1TB Western Digital Black ro a better Speaker or a good Sound card whatever.
With that kind of a budget, instead of going for a mid-end Intel, I’d rather go for a high-end AMD which will use high quality components and give me the best performance value for what I’m spending. I’d say, get a Phenom II X4 955/ 720 BE with a 790FX MoBo and the 4870 or 4890 GPU with 4GB RAM. This would ensure that the PC will be future proof for at least 3 years. It would become a mid end PC at the end of 2 years and you wouldn’t have to be sad later. For now, this would be the absolute high end that you can get and you can pride yourself for that. Get a decent PSU like a corsair VX450 or higher and a good cabinet and your set.
I don’t know the address. but Rashi peripherals provide RMA service of AMD and Asus products. Google for the address or the mumbai people can help you here.
