need help about getting my computer parts from US

Hello

my brother will be coming to india in December from US so i am planning to make new rig in dat time and i need to know what parts he can get through custom at airport without a problem so i can order the rest from amazon US.
and i would also like to know which brand to go for since it will fall under international warranty.

thanx in advance for your help guys

GPU, CPU, SSD, HDD
EVGA has international warranty in case of GPU!
SSD - Intel
HDD - Toshiba, WD
Intel/AMD - What is warranty?

I’ve been buying parts from US for few years now. Black Friday deals are freaking steal deals( November end). Few things I can tell from my personal experience. Things like GPU and CPU cannot be brought with their boxes otherwise you may have to pay some customs duties on them. I brought 2 asus strix GTX 970s wrapped in Cotton T-shirts in luggage bags. Never had to pay any customs. But bringing all these parts together ; you may face customs trouble. I had ordered EVGA PSU from amazon US and directly got it delivered to India and it costed me around 2-2.5k cheaper than the cost on amazon.in.The only thing is it takes more than 2 weeks to get it delivered. I hope this helps! Cheers!

not hijacking the thread, but i would like to bring a liquid cooled mid tower pc to india from u.s..
how will i handle customs?

Refer here for the discussion on customs duty:

we are talking about pc components not gaming…

Whether it be PC components or gaming consoles when importing something to India you need to have the knowledge about customs duty.
And I would prefer EVGA for international warranty.

And get a gtx 1060 6GB if you are tight on budget and if money is no problem be sure to go for titan X pascal.

Are you going to import each and every component from the US or a specific few?

Hey crazymangya,

Did you have to pay for AmazonGlobal Shipping as well as import fees/custom duty on the PSU? Also, which model did you ordered?

I will be staying in u.s for 2 months so will assemble a PC there.with a 144hz monitor..

How will customs access the cost of my pc

And I am going for an evga 1070 sli/1080 depending on price

You will be charged 14.712% for a complete PC.

that article was more annoying then helpful.
in case of an assembled pc will i have to give the bill for every component?what if i have a custom made liquid cooled pc?will they ask me for a bill of every weird screw, tube, fan, radiator lol

will the customs babu directly assume lakh rupiya and charge 15k?
