Need help with faulty psu purchase from elitehubs

Hi, guys. I bought a Corsair RM1000x for my PC from Elitehubs to replace an old PSU. When I connected the PSU to the motherboard (24-pin, CPU, and PCIe), the PC didn’t boot up. It had no power, no onboard LEDs, and the fan wasn’t lit. I tested again after undoing the connections, but the same issue occurred. After that, I tried connecting the motherboard with my old PSU (Corsair TX650M), and it worked perfectly.

I had a PSU tester from Amazon lying around, and the 5VSB rail on the new Corsair PSU was dead—it never showed a green light on the 5VSB. I sent the PSU to Elitehubs for replacement, but now they are saying it works fine with their test rig or whatever. I’ve asked them to show voltage values for both the 5V and 5VSB rails using a multimeter to confirm what they are saying is correct.

Try to see if they can replace the same,
Try on another pc and see if it works.

Else just do an RMA and be done with it.

if it in warrrnty they corsair will replace it once they confirm it faulty .elithub will not replace they will send you to kaizen repair centre in lamington road ,corsair should replace it for you in next 30 days ,they will need ur orginal bill with gst and chck warrenty sticker in psu it broken or not , they will check generte rma service no or you can check with there customer care

Update , from elitehubs they are saying the psu is working without providing any proof of any readings. Now asking to me provide two way return shipping and they are saying they cannot do rma on my behalf on a new product. Totally bad service, regret buying it from here as it was 2k less than Vedant and mdcomputers. They have asked to me ship it to Mumbai instead i have gone for rma with corsiar in kolkata itself.

Absolutely bad service refused to provide 5vsb readings or any readings from the psu.I have asked them to provide a psu tester or multimeter readings. Just provide a video with psu working without case, their technical team turning on the pc by touching the power on pin with screw driver. Is the 5vsb rail is weak or not consistent got no clue.

Get the psu from them and get it replaced with Kaizen.Mention that its a doa so they might offer you a ready peace on the spot.

I had similar exp. with coolermaster a decade ago where in spite of the psu getting blown/burnt during the first test run (due to the 120v switch not toggled to 230v as the tiny switch was fully covered with some hologram type sticker so visually the switch wasn’t there) yet the next day I went to prime, their person guided me to the nearest coolermaster sc and within an hour I got a brand new replacement with this time 230v switch properly and no sticker on it. Maybe I was sold a US variant the other day as the power cable was also some 5amp or so and with the replacement placeI got the usual Indian cable.

I didn’t tell Prime that it got blown etc but simply stated it refused to power on. They too tested at their ends and found it to be dead! The good part was that after it got burnt/blown, after a few min I sprayed a bit of Axe deodorant inside the psu ensuring no burning smell. And overnight kept it open for all the smell or fragrances to fade and vanish.

Yeah, i am getting the product back from them after paying double shipping charges. I actually asked them should i go to kaizen directly , they insisted to send to them and provided very bad resolution no mention of what tests they have done, just giving robotic response that psu passes their test conditions. Lesson learned even if component is cheaper its better to buy from local place.

If you’re okay with claiming warranty, go with it.. otherwise file a complaint through the National Consumer Helpline (NCH) or the e-Daakhil portal.

In this era you need to have a dirty mind else your innocence gets exploited! Just like Ops situation.

Update: After receiving the PSU from Elitehubs yesterday, which they charged me 600 rs for return shipping, I went to Kaizen and they confirmed the PSU is faulty due to the absence of any voltage from 5VSB rail. The people at Elitehubs couldn’t even properly detect this obvious fault, despite i exactly identified the issue for them. Future buyers beware, if you receive a DOA product from Elitehubs, it’s best to go directly to service center for an RMA, otherwise, any hope of a replacement for an obvious DOA product will be denied, and you’ll be charged for return shipping. Also, if anybody from Mumbai have contact no of the owner or higher ups for the elitehubs will be be appreciated, they wasted my time and money both.

Just as what i had suggested in my first post. Good you are getting a DOA replacement.

The tester looks good, can you share the link for the same. See many similar types listed on Amazon. Hard to call out which is good and which is bad.

Its this one they are all generics RTS Premium Quality PC Power Supply Tester 20/24 Pin PSU ATX SATA HDD SMPS LED Display : Amazon.in: Industrial & Scientific, but there is no need for tester, if you have multimeter lying around its easy to measure the voltage by following the atx 24 pin layout.

We should create a dedicated thread that lists all Indian PC parts sellers.

Under each seller’s name, we can link relevant user experiences and feedback posts/threads.

Clicking on links would take users directly to the corresponding discussions within our site, making it easier to judge reliability before purchasing.

The list have to be updated regularly.

In India sellers are nice till delivery, after that they run away from responsibility, its always better to buy hardware from brand which has good rma service as you cant rely on these sellers, their technical teams generally mean one or two guy s who are way out of their depth to provide resolutions for issues that needs some thinking. The biggest issue I found with elitehubs nonchalant attitude is that a less tech savy person due to their wrong diagnosis would end up miss diagnosing the actual faulty component and create unnecessary stress for customer.
