No AMD K8L processors until 2008, say sources

This was more or less indicated earlier by CEO Hector Ruiz himself, when he said that AMD’s next architecture will debut in 2008.
This means that K8L will not be really a competitor to the Core products; as a new 45nm Intel microarchitecture Nehalem is set to come out in 2008.

Of course, the tabloid disagrees.

It is possible that the quad cores scheduled for 2007 are K8 based; while K8L will indeed debut only in 2008…

Thats really a sad news. AMD are in hellofa trouble, when K8L releases they wont be able to compete with Nehalem, but who knows.

^^ How can you say so surely that K8L cant compete with Nehelam ?

Even though Intel is saying new architecture every 2 years, i think its pure marketing gimmick, making a new architecture is not a joke.

Just my opinion though.

Thats just from my point of view. I m not 100% sure.
