Airtel’s B/w has given me good results, coz all the others hv tried showed a low speed, i mean they showed around 112kbps , 256kbps connection, airtel showed around 212kbps and +…
People asume that Airtel’s speed test shows speeds higher than it really is. I dont think so. Some tests show me quite low speeds. I have gopt fed up with this.
The tru way of knowing your speed is to download 3 files from a HTTP source and add the download rate of all three… This is the most accurate way of knowing your speed.

if you are on airtel, then it will show the closest to the max speed possible. on my 256k connection, i get around 245k when running the airtel speed test
ADSLGuide is probably the best -gives me accurate results all the time - usually 1950kbps for a 2Meg Cable connection.

I find speak easy to be the most accurate service for US. I think the best speed test is given by one’s own ISP from it’s local server. The best test of bandwidth would be from your local server to your home.
