If you don’t mind, what was the final config of your legion ?
Huh damn that’s a cheap screen repair for laptop
Same as first post screenshot but with additional 16,433 (something like that) discount after student id.
oof my bad, 750 more as labour charge.
Had to open bill to check
Ohh okay still good price for a 1080p (presuming) 144hz display
Did you availed the credit card cashback as well? And you didn’t applied 6K +5% discount coupon ![]()
All coupons have been applied.
That would be the replacement price for a mid-range laptop with a low gamut 1080p screen. However, a 240 Hz WQXGA HDR1000 will be a significant 5-digit cost.
Wake up people.
For legion pro 7i:
- Should I buy a surge protector socket/strip for this 400W charger?
- Do I have to buy Thermal pad/heatsink for 2nd slot m.2 ssd?
- Does installing ssd in 2nd slot mess with my warranty? Apparently if I ask Lenovo support they won’t give a conclusive answer and just say “it might”.
- It’s better to have one, if possible. Otherwise, at most, the charger might die in a bad event, but that’s rare these days unless the power supply is really bad at your location.
- AFAIK, you don’t need a heatsink, nor will it be good here, since it will probably not fit in the space you have inside there in the laptop. But yes, you will be needing a thermal pad, but Lenovo gaming laptops (legion included) comes with thermal pad already for second SSD slot which you will find sticked on the surface of the inside of back panel at the location of second SSD slot.
- No, it will not be void as long as you install it carefully without breaking anything else. Warranty is mainly void if you remove the heatsink. So opening the back panel to install SSDs or replacing RAM doesn’t void it. Just dont break anything during installation. If you are not confident doing it yourself, take someone’s help or go to a local shop for a minimal amount.
You can also give your own SSD and get it installed officially at the Lenovo service centre for around 800rs as a service charge lol.
EDIT:
If you plan to do it yourself, watch a video on how to open the back panel of your laptop before attempting to add an SSD, it might help. There must definitely be some video or similar there on YouTube for the same.
Also, the second SSD slot screw is usually very tight, and you’ll need the exact size Phillips bit, so make sure you have one. If you try with a wrong size a few times, it might scratch (strip) the screw and further extend your work
Thanks a lot
