PC Case and PSU under 20K for 1.5L Gaming build

Here is the list of parts already purchased/ ordered.

CPU: AMD Ryzen 7 7800X3D 4.2 GHz 8-Core Processor (INR36K @ Avika Retails)
CPU Cooler: ARCTIC Liquid Freezer III Pro 360 77 CFM Liquid CPU Cooler (INR11K @ TLG Gaming)
Memory: G.Skill Ripjaws M5 RGB 32 GB (2 x 16 GB) DDR5-6000 CL30 Memory (24.8 @ Vedant Computers)
Storage: SK Hynix Platinum P41 2 TB M.2-2280 PCIe 4.0 X4 NVME Solid State Drive ($149.00(INR 13.2K) @ Newegg US)
Video Card: ASRock Steel Legend Radeon RX 9070 XT 16 GB Video Card ($620 (INR 55K) @ Newegg US)

I’ve already touched 1.4L out of my 1.5L budget. I’ll willing to spurge 15-20K more for PC case, PSU, Fans (if not already in PC case), GPU stand and other accessories. I already have a Mouse, keyboard and a Monitor. Will purchase a headphones and mousepad now if in budget or later if not.

Requirements -

CASE - A small-medium case for a M-ATX build. Sturdy and build to last as I’ll be travelling every now and often (2-3 Years) and I want to pack it in a steel box with original packaging for safe transport. RBG is a non requirement but I’ve kept of the asthethics of MoBo, GPU, RAM and cooler white so I would appreciate something that will align with the colour scheme. Something that is easy to cable manage will be appreciated. ANT products look on a cheaper side but I would rather prefer well known branded Case.

PSU - Anything that will fit the above case. Has to be modular. I’m not certain about +80 Broze, silver, gold certification so I request if forum members can shed some light on this.

Thanking in advance.

Regards.

Asus AP201 + MSI A850L should be good, will be like 6k + 9k or so.

Which mobo are you eyeing?

CH160 Plus will be more compact but needs an SFX PSU, so PSU will cost 13k or so, like CM V850, will be 6-7k + 13-14k overall.

How will you build and run a PC without motherboard?

Go with

Lian Li Dan A3 case + Corsair RM850x will be a great combination. This case is the darling of r/mffpc and the PSU is Cybenetics Gold + A rated.

My apologies. @M0N3Y This is the mobo I accidentely left out

@OMEGA44-XT @m1tr @bssunilreddy Corsair PSU sounds good although bit expensive. All case options look good. Will need more research though. Thank you.

Asrock mobos are killing 7800X3Ds and 9800X3Ds. So I dont suggest this brand anymore.

Oh no. Its one of the parts that are coming from US. This is quite recent issue. Any recoommendations?

Besides, how did you buy through Newegg US?

This is not a recent issue as since May, 2025 every youtuber is talking about Asrock killing their CPUs.
Watch this:

One of my parents is coming from US to India.

What do you recommend I do. Post the Mobo on marketplace here and get a new one or just swing it?

Get any MSI or Gigabyte B850M mobo which costs 15k in India but which might cost 10-12k in US.

Why take the risk knowing that Asrock mobos are killing X3D chips.

If you already bought the Asrock mobo I mean got it delivered then use it sensibly.

Wont recommend msi due to shitty rma. Get a gigabyte one.

And regarding asrock and x3d chips b850 have a very high percentage of burned cpu’s of all chipsets.

According to some user, they have faced no issues using asrock motherboard with x3d chips and the asrock motherboard rma process is also good. Nov 2025: Asrock motherboard RMA experience - #7 by Raoskyneo

I don’t know about amd rma though.

@Raoskyneo, @el_diablo Its already purchased. Only part I impulse buy turns out like this. WIll just hope for the best. Also, I am getting a 7800X3d not a 9800x3d which this chart suggests.

As for case, I have shortlisted to the fwg white cases.
P1 - Lain Li Lancool 217 - 11.3K
P2 - Corsair Frame 4000D RS ARGB - 9.47K
P3 - NZXT H6 Flow White - 9.69K
P4 - Cooler Master Elite 600 ARGB - 9K

I am leaning towards Lian Li 217 because of the 6 preinstalled fans and good reviews.

PSU Finalised to - Corsair RM850x - 11.6. White one is about 2K more.

I might not get an RMA as the mobo is from US.

In general most burns have been on X3D chips so please be cautious and dont try any OC on memory and CPU.

Gigabyte B850M Gaming X will suffice, costs under 15k or so in India. Take the loss & resell the AsRock mobo locally, though anyone aware of the issue will never buy an AsRock AM5 mobo.

FYI - can easily save money on the CPU cooler. Forgot to notice earlier but 360mm with mATX cabinet might get a bit problematic. CH160 plus & some other more compact cases can’t be considered. AP201 & A3 supports 360mm AIO though. Not an issue if you consider an ATX case, in which case get Gigabyte B850 Gaming X WiFi for under 17k instead, will get 3rd M.2 slot.

AG620 will be enough to cool 7800X3D. I am using a puny AK400 on my 9800X3D but my case is a big ATX one, so has plenty of airflow.

Like I said, most of the parts have already been purchased incl the Cooler. Hence I am leaning towards Lian Li 217 as it will accept most traditional builds. As for the Mobo, I might just swing it. Besides, as it is purchased from US, I’ll get reduced prices due to lack of Indian Inovice.
