Pls recommend a Soundbar for TV - Budget ~50k

Hi guys, as the title mentions I’m looking upgrade my TV’s soundbar - currently I’m using the Mi soundbar had bought it for 5k and did the job pretty well for me over the past many years.

However now I’m looking at upgrading the experience- my wife and kids also enjoy listening to music on the TV, streaming via phone too so my budget is close to 50k for a good soundbar.

The only condition from the wife is that it shouldn’t clutter the living room space with a separate subwoofer so options are currently limited to only a single soundbar.

Thanks in advance for your recommendations!

subwoofer is what improves audio so please don’t buy without subwoofer.

Subwoofer is a must to have a decent audio experience IMHO. You could look for the wireless subwoofer models which can be hidden away or used as a side table perhaps? There are wireless rear speakers also available these days which you can take out and plug in on those movie nights if the whole wire clutter thing is a too much for the wife in regular use?

For example a 2.1:

Hey this is a great idea ! I’ll research on these options !

I have shortlisted this one for the time being :

Well I know its a BOSE and tempting, pls shop around and look for a model which has a physical subwoofer or a rear channel which you can use at your discretion. Actual listening comparisons will help you make the right choice for your listening needs.

if you can audition for these near your area, it would be a better informed decision

Thank you so much for the offer man - I’ll go check this one out! Looks like a very good sound system!

If possible, avoid having only a soundbar…

bro can u share Invoice so i can get around similar price . U can blur yr details .

Try getting physical soundbar 5.1 with satellites , trust me it’s way better than virtual 5.1 or 7.1in this price range. Also ditn fall or stmos or dts effect , get a dolby digital or dd+ that will suffice unless you know what you are doing

How is the longterm experience of Q990C any issues ?

Hw b67e xl , 20k budget true 5.1 setup with dd+ & dts

@@proletariat How is SONY HT-S500RF ?

I did demo test in reliance digital and croma, it sounded hollow, Samsung one was rich… Sony felt bass heavy, Samsung was neutral can use for all kind of audios like movies, sports and songs…

Bought this around 4 to 5 years ago after much looking around. These are excellent for the price.

IIRC, it became unavailable for few months in ~2023.

Rear channels are wired but to me that’s a pro, not a con :face_with_tongue:

How did you get Q990 series soundbar for so less?

Im planning to get an lg C4 or g4 and thinking which surrounds sound system to go for. Room size is about 350 feet and budget is 20k with +/- 2k. I want surround sound not just soundbar and rear speakers need to be wireless

Guys getting quote of 80k for q990D would like to know if it is worth it .
