My SFF system located in Lucknow. Built it a long time back. Sentimental value attached to it. I game on it when I go to hometown on vacations. Contrary to perceptions it is very capable and last time I used it, I finished Silent Hill f and Alan Wake 2 in 1440p on high details. I am proud of the temps and doubly proud of the fact that many ATX builds cannot beat my SFF temp. Here are the benchmarks for your verification purposes - https://imgur.com/a/sff-itx-gaming-pc-amd-6600xt-8gb-super-slim-10-ltr-e56yxRR and here is my attempt to price it:
Component
Price if sold separately
Reason
GPU - RX 6700 10 GB
17000
Recently upgraded from 6600XT to 6700. Was comfortably able to sell my 6600XT for 13k and 6700XT is going north of 20k so should not be difficult selling 10gb vram for 17k minimum.
PSU - Corsair SF600
8000
SFX !! Here on TE used 750W/ 850W sfx psus are being sold north of 10k.
Corsair Vengeance 16GB RAM
5000
ram pricing is crazy, no idea
i5 6600k CPU + Mobo
3000
On zoukart, apparently folks who are locked on the intel platform are willing to pay for top cpus of that generation. easily more than 3k even if Mobo and cpu cooler free
Node 202 Case
Free
a few k sure Ill get
SSD
Free
a few k sure Ill get
Total
> 33k
Is the above correct - Its just that I dont have the heart to break it up, as I said it has sentimental value. I just want to keep it or sell it only if whoever buys it enjoys it as I do but who will care about about some old quad core sff when RGB fishtanks with 5 case fans is the trend nowadays. What do you guys think/advise ?
If it is of sentimental value, I would say keep it. Nobody is going value it like you do. If you are not in need of urgent money or other immediate requirement to sell, keep it.
Just my opinion.
Processor and motherboard are priced fairly, maybe a bit a bit low but if you’re happy with 3k then all’s good.
SFX PSUs do have premium pricing, but it also depends on the age as well. If this was from 8 years ago, it’s probably worth about half that. Some people brazenly/unethically RMA PSUs to get better pricing.
Used cases usually have no value unless if it’s something rare, high-end or mini-itx like this.
Memory pricing is fair since Corsair has lifetime warranty.
Sell it all for parts, you’ll find buyers easier that way.
Briefly I had put it up locally for sale but a quick conversation with the potential buyers would expose that they would break it up and sell for parts.
I would ask why do you need SFF, and what games do you like to play and they would say (i.e. lie) - just need a small desktop for office purposes and cannot name a single game. Savage barbarians !!
Buyers have every right to do whatever they want to do with the system they buy. Sentimental value is of no consequence here. Good that you decide to keep it.
Turn it into a home server! It’s a huge learning opportunity that gives you better privacy and saves you money on subscription services. Plus, it’s just a genuinely fun project to tinker with.
