Repairing a Samsung Buds 3 Pro

Recently my buds 3 pro case had died, had stopped accepting charge suddenly and this led to my buds being totally drained out.
I opened it out of desperation and could see green deposits around the wireless charger terminals and the indicator strip turned red leading to to believe it had somehow caused water damage.

I have found its charging board online for very cheap but due to Chinese new year, shipping is delayed.
If someone can help me with any local spare part supplier or any recycler from where I can source it, would be amazing.

I have read somewhere you can go to authorised service centre and tell them you lost the case. They will order a new case. I think you pay 3 or 5,000 Rs. Im not 100% sure but you can try in case you want to go this route

Why not use pcb cleaner liquid?

I’ve cleaned it with IPA

ipa is useful for cleaning flux, it wont help in cleaning green residue or corrosion. Pcb cleaner liquids are more strong and used for scrubbing away green residue or corrosion.

Give it a try, they are cheap

ive used ipa for pcb’s that had battery leakage on them and it worked quite well. but yeah if the board has shorted then no point in cleaning

Will keep as last resort. Since Ive moved to Apple been using AirPods Pro 3, this is a fun side project.

I am seeing many posts on fb pages, selling complete and new samsung buds 3 pro. Unboxed for 6k to 7k.

5k for a svc swap sounds expensive, considering above rate.

The buds are IP rated but not the case :person_shrugging:

I am glad to inform that the replacement motherboard arrived today from China.
It cost me a total of 900Rs including shipping and taxes.

Soldered the wireless charging coil and it was up and working in 10 minutes.
Pictures attached for reference.

Interested to know the sourcing and delivery of the part.

I selected yanwen as shipping partner, the board cost Rs.661 and shipping nearly Rs.250 including custom clearance.

I did go to the service centre but both of my buds have small cracks, they said I’d have to buy a whole new set and this was unrepairable.
