Need to buy a battery for my Motorola phone. Is this a good option. I am trying to find the exact model as i see multiple battery no for 6000 MAh
Really ? Why would they charge 1500 for it, Service charges are 400 plus gst for all out if warranty Samsung phones.
We have been seeing reports regularly of phones doing just that. Nobody gets into any trouble. It all somehow goes away.
I got the same reply when asking for a part for the Seiko clock.
You want service, this is how they ensure that service remains viable.
Is the only way of explaining it.

Batteries are a pita to import into this country. Paperwork bla bla. Standards compliance etc.
What do you think that bis label stamped on the battery means?
This also means Samsung is the only party with an incentive to go through the process and so are the only suppliers of genuine oem batteries. They can do whatever they want.
The difference between oem and generic with phones is significant. Think 40% less capacity.
Not so stark with laptops I’ve seen but they don’t hold a charge as well as oem.
Samsung One Ui has Maintenance mode which when enabled protects private information.
Enable it from Device Care / maintenance mode before giving for repairs.
Still the phone can be reset from android adb by a knowledgeable technician
So Samsung offers free full cloud backup of your phone. Do it before entering maintenance mode.

in Dec 2023 I paid 3.2k for change of battery on Note 10 Plus . So if anyone things its reduced …..
And its not a local chindi bill . It came to my email from official Samsung India email

Purchased Pixel 6A battery from PatelOfficals for 800/ after recommendations here. Got it installed yesterday locally for 300/ .
The battery was used with 137 charge cycles already done , so I got burnt
Don’t buy from this PatelOfficals , probably he’s selling refurbished battery but whatever didn’t get a new battery
That’s when i asked him specifically that would it be a new battery & was confirmed same
If Google said 400 charge cycles then 34% battery is already used before installation itself
Update : Contacted seller whos shown surprise as how a new battery can be used so much
Whatever I got shortchanged ….

No update from seller so screwed… Lookout for a good battery again in next 6 months . Will buy and keep it for installing later
Atleast it was a cheap price, half of everywhere else. If it’s good for a year or more then it’s not a bad price to keep the device usable.

Should be fine, Google limited charging at 400 charge cycles, I already have 138 on install so atleast 1 year is covered
