Does Samsung not sell original parts separately?
I contacted them to get my battery replaced but they declined saying they don’t do that and insisted that I send them my phone. Reason why I don’t want to do that is I don’t want them to screw around with my phone’s interior. Last time I did it they f’n formatted everything even when I don’t think it was required at all.
Battery price is ₹1050+tax. At this price it seems dumb to get third-party ones so I want to get from Samsung’s authorised centers.
Meanwhile display costs over 10k. Insane. Will opt for third-party for this just to make the phone usable.
I had Cashify send someone to replace a broken screen yesterday, it was quick and the technician did not need to plug in a usb cable (some repair centers do that on the pretext of diagnostics when they’re they’re really stealing user data) and the phone never left my sight (some places take the phone inside under the pretext of needing a clean room).
It was a good experience, I’d recommend it if you need screen or battery replacements. Previously I’d use authorized repair centers and they’d charge way too much for a phone that’s a few generations old.
Samsung wanted 5000 and needed until Saturday because of festivals, Cashify charged 3600 and took 30 minutes.
