I live in a Tier-1 city. When service request/complaint is placed, they give a date based on availability, like 1 or 2 or sometimes even 3 days. But technician visited the next day itself everytime. Definitely not on the same day or within hours.
Never had purifier not working issue. Only once, as I said, the recharge suddenly shows not updated, and it doesn’t give water, the recharge icon keeps blinking on the purifier. Then the technician arrived and corrected it from his end the next day.
Meanwhile, for my neighbor, when I placed the last service req (before replacement), even if the technician called the next day, they kept on postponing and it got assigned to a different technician every day. After 4 days, posted on twitter and it took 3 days to replace the device. But I feel this is obviously technician’s negligence.
For filter life icon red, it still gives water. Actually, it doesn’t wait till complete filter failure and usually shows several liters before. I filled almost 40 litres (2 cans) when filter life went red, and checked tds, it was still +10 difference only.
Obviously yes.
Aquaguard and Kent were bad in my area though. Not 100% bad, but it was bothersome always and we had to be super vigilant everytime. Becz of these bad experiences with both major companies, I lost the interest to buy purifier. Still may buy later, but definitely not Kent/Aquaguard.
Hello Guys,
Just tested our water level comes out to be 374 tds.
Can anyone suggest good water purifier for everyday use ?
Kolkata is the location.
We use about 400-500 litres in a month.
Parents use a Kent Grand Plus since last 10 years with an additional iron filter. I would note that water quality is pathetic. We are doing an AMC based on requirement which covers pretty much everything. Service is pretty good so far. Location is Rajarhat Gopalpur, near Airport.
Prices have increased. But even when I bought it, it was among the higher priced better models. I consider it among one of my best investments when it comes to consumer durables.
Anyone from Bangalore here who uses DrinkPrime? It has been close to a year now for me and they have not come even once for maintenance. I contacted customer care and they said that I can raise a maintenance request only if it shows on the app that the purifier needs it.
Almost every water purifier company has poor service remarks …some less some more.
I guess I will have to take my chance .
I like Kent but too expensive…where everyone is selling for 8k-10k …these guys are Rs 15k-18k .
But they might be better overall.
Surprised that even after paying Rs 15k and so people still have to maintain AMC for 5k-6k.
Also thinking about half of the water going waste is another thing going on in mind.
Maybe got to find a way to use that water too.
Then that unlimited ro water service seems cheaper. Just 500 a month so around 6k per year.
For around 2000 rupees you can buy an overhead tank with around 350L capacity. 1600 for such a tiny plastic box is robbery. Even if you search the local market for a 40L can or bucket you can buy it within 200 to 400 rupees easily.
That was meant to share as an idea. I am not asking you to buy it from Amz.
Besides not everyone has provision for overhead tank. Also if you have the time to watch a bucket fill to it’s brim, be my guest.
Don’t be upset. I was just saying that company is asking too much for that tiny container. I know not everyone has provision for loft tank and no you don’t have to watch water fill up a bucket. There’s auto shut off valves available on Amazon.
If you’re giving advice you should be ready for critisism that others will point out the shortcomings of the advice if there are any. You’re taking it personally like you are the seller of that contraption.

Lol. You get triggered easily. Not having a good day, are we ? Take a chill pill.
I am all for “constructive” criticism as long you can take yours. The valves are a good point and their are similar tanks also available with valves built in. Again I will reiterate, it was meant to share as an idea as I clearly state that something like this is an option. If you read it differently then that is your problem. I am not asking you to buy it and it was never a price recommendation.
Yesterday I randomly saw this post and checked the tds of my water. It was 30 . Last year when the technician came for service I think he messed it up anyway I think I need to remove ro. Uv and uf is sufficient for now. I have kent grand plus ro is there any way I can disconnect ro and just use uv and uf or do I need a entire new machine
Does the water taste funny? did you choose any RO yet? 374tds doesn’t really need a RO, maybe just a UV+UF. I haven’t seen any benefit from going with branded RO systems that cost upwards of 8k. I’m still using my desi Aqua system that I got for 4k in 2015. Such systems are still available around 4~6k price point
I cannot say any difference because I am not in home town but people I ordered for seem happy for now.
I went through hundreds of machines. They all look and perform similar . It all comes down to service and Kent has bit better service then rest in my area.
Now if we need no RO but just UV and UF. We just went with all three systems .
Now TDS is 100
