I’ve been looking for buying used rams offline and online and I got some prices, although I’m not what should be the ideal prices for used rams. I don’t wanna get conned.
Can I get some estimations for ddr4 32gb and 16gb kits?

Looks like its wild west in the used market with no limit, everyone is trying to get their pound of flesh! there is still a lot of inventry locally of the used items, but they are doing what they did with GPU’s.
Yes, you will need to deal with scalper level prices for a few years
Fair prices
16gb kit basic rams 3500
16gb kit g.skill trident rbg etc 4500
32gb kit basic models 7k to 8k
32gb top end rams 8 to 9k
64gb kits 16k to 18k
These should be for used ones.

Oh boy.
I have some interesting stuff to share to you.
I posted for a DDR5 32GBx1 6000Mhz single stick in WTB and some people reached out to me with 1Y or older kits with bill and asked for North of 20-22K+ per stick.
Some people’s price went even beyond the current shitshow selling price(3x) that various shops are selling for brand new.
I ended up buying brand new for 26K instead.
Considering lots of DDR4 already have been announced EOL and Data centers seems to prefer them instead over DDR5 from what I understood and Stargate project by Open AI will be consuming abt 40% of all RAM, I say there will be time when DDR4 will probably for a short time be more expensive than even DDR5.
Companies after covid weren’t ready to meet demand for sudden surge and people are panic buying. Industry estimates say everything with RAM be impacted and this cycle can continue for beyond 4-5Y.
So what should be the prices for
16gb
32gb
64gb
Talked with someone and they told me that the selling price for pre-owned ram kit no bill or box has become the same as brand new unit in the best case scenario if you are lucky.
You can follow that same template for DDR4 too i believe untill things starts improving or going worse.
That was the last update, idk how things will unfold from here. People who deal good amount in RAM trading here will be able to shed some more light onto it.
Used product prices are always going to be linked to new prices.. thats not just for ram but pretty much everything.
If a new product is 30k why would anyone sell it for 10k to you? heck you yourself wouldnt do it.. so why do we expect others to do it so we can get a better deal lol.
its simple demand and supply and i dont blame anyone other than the companies at the top who are controlling supplies.
this is gpu’s all over again
16 GB DDR5 SO-DIMM 4800MT is going around for Rs3600 here at this forum.
I completely agree. I got so many DMs asking for only RAM at the purchase price. When I asked them to buy mobo, cpu at purchase price as well, heck even some discount, nobody was interested.
If a new product is available currently for 10k and someone sells it for 12k (which they originally bought for 20k), people will laugh at them.
We have a lot of hypocrites here!
People need to be more aware about what they are asking and what there unit brand new is being sold for at that particular point of time. If your price is borderline or even higher than the selling price of the brand new unit which is available at that particular point of time, then that’s some level of bullshitery only achievable to a few.
Why wont people ask for more when they can, that’s obvious. But something like logic should still prevail.
Everything’s acceptable untill they themselves become the sellers. Then all of a sudden the used products selling price is 95% of the new price.
Having said that.. almost all of my deals are mostly pain free here.
The quality of buyers here atleast is somewhat better than the window shopping idiots on olx.
Personally, I’d be waiting on offers of 15k per 32GB stick + rest of the hardware at purchase price before I’d sell.
It’s not always that hardware appreciates like this and if someone needs it more desperately than you, it’s fair.
That’s true, just ignore those sellers tho.. they can live in there own dreamland.. why would anyone buy anything used which is available for cheaper new.
Just sold a 16 gig so-dimm kit (8x2) ddr4 2666MHz for 1500. Just didn’t feel comfortable asking for more (esp since they’ve been used for a few years atp). ![]()
A seller quoted 31k for used gskill 64gb 6000mhz CL36 1 year old
Recently i found a lot of deals on olx selling used RAM close to the retail price, decided to wait and buy from here instead.
16gbx2 (3200mhz) were bought 4yrs ago and being sold at 15k
8gbx2 (3200mhz) were bought 3yrs ago and being sold at 7k ( in vedant brand-new costs around 7.5k)
7k for 16gb ![]()

Totally delusional seller, probably thought since it’s only one year old he can upcharge. It’s still used!
Ikr I’d have a better time buying a brand new one but sadly I’m in need for a 32gb kit, will post a wtb soon
