Whats your feedback on the market hub

There is a closed listings section.

Threads do seem to be auto shifting there.

I don’t think it is working at the moment. My threads marked sold since Aug-Sep still haven’t been moved there. I even made a request in the Support section, but Renegade said it would be looked into in a few weeks, I think.

Regarding this point..

I was thinking that most of the times it is people clearing off their accessories who create the pile of topics. One way to handle that could be that if the item is priced below x amount, say 1K, then it should be in garage sale and multiple items can be bundled there. For classifieds it should be single high value item per topic.

Having a more organized market, with properly filterable and searchable items and proper layout is important for the growth of the classifieds.

Yeah the automatic moving of sold items is not working for all listings, there may be some edge case. Its in the list in the first post of this topic.

Sorry, but if this is such a priority, why is this rule only enforced on regular classified and not on resellers section currently?

Are searchability, filtering and organization not desirable for that section?

I thought that the garage sale is meant for items which need price discovery. The user-to-user listings could have been easily utilized for such multiple item cases but that is being done away with. But even before that, these limits like 1 item per topic or amount per item lack enforcement -

Coz we are going one thing at a time. It will be enforced in retailers section as well.

Tightening can be done once the screw is in the right hole.

@Renegade

I have a suggestion, i Don’t know if such thing already exists

Can we have a section Like Want To Sell

Like for example someone might have stuff they want to sell like maybe a power bank or a headphone , of let’s say I have a cech model ps3 or some headphones or one plus 6 or a clips zip which some people might want but seller isn’t sure what value they might be able to get for some of the stuff espcially retro stuff or DIY stuff or custom stuff couple be a record collection or something custom made whatever and posting all that stuff with pictures and all can be tedious especially if you are unsure of value you might get or someone might want it , couple even be old cd players or walkmans…

So we can let’s say post it in WTS thread ( without any pictures and stuff ) and then if someone’s interested we can make a deal , only challange would then be how to add reputation for someone once you do such a deal…

That’s the idea anyway, also would make it easy if someone’s looking for something urgent like a power bank let’s say so people can look at that thread and PM whoever has said he wants to sell…

Not sure it makes complete sense but yeah, like for example i might want a zune if someone’s selling it but with such things it’s hard to gauge value and most people then don’t care to post it anyway

It already exists. It’s called the Garage Sale: Garage Sale - TechEnclave

Ahh but don’t you have to put pictures with username and there stuff before you sell there like user to user :red_question_mark: anyway I have never checked garages sale ever for some reason I have no idea why just user to user listings

Thanks :+1:

Garage sales also requires 2 pics with username/date.
We can make things less tedious by doing away with bumps instead

This is an older thread made in September. New users then only had access to the Classifieds section.
Newer threads are mostly being dealt with.

Yes, but pricing is not required. You post the stuff and people can suggest price or even place bids. It is for stuff you are not sure will sell or at what price.

What you’re proposing, posting just name of the item and not even pictures of it with username, I’m not sure mods will allow.

Sharing the poll @bakasur created here as well, since it has only had 25% of the visibility as this thread. It would be good to have more data.

Right so you can stuff without price on garage sale ? I feel it sounds different like some leftover stuff that you want to get rid of..

Let’s say I have some collectors stuff or anyone for that matter ..

And yes that’s what I am suggestion, You name the thing you have mad if someone seens it maybe after a month he can ping you, but yeah with threads it makes the sale more transparent and stuff which I agree..

So even I am more sure how it works , bjybwe can have just a want to sell where you post what you have but we can make it a certain way that on the same thread if someone’s interested and ways yeah I am interested you post pics and stuff that way throught that thread feedback can be exchanged as well and the deal is in public eye …or something like that

Also with garage sales it gives me feel it will be for multiple items well kept in garage not in use, You can post individual collector stuff things in Want to Sell thread like could be an old piano or a record player idk and if someone is looking for something specific let’s say I am looking for an old zune he can navigaye though that , because such items price is well nobody knows it’s antique / unique but also pretty much obsolete…

Idk just what I was thinking

If it’s just about discovering listings, wouldn’t muting classifieds on main feed and checking the new listings section on the Market Hub achieve this?

Unless the individual posting rule is causing significant friction for sellers, decoupling the marketplace this way seems reasonable.

The gallery display look fine, and the listing template fits screens, but we have a different problem now.

They don’t expand when clicked on, as a result of which small text is not visible clearly.

Hi,

In classified i can’t find subcategories to filter items from.

Like if want to get only smartphones view I’m not able to find the relevant button.

Use the market.

You can click on Market (beta), on the left/under the menu, to Browse categories
https://techenclave.com/market

And there is a Mobile Devices category with a Smartphones sub-category.

I don’t know if it’s intended or not but when I open a listing from market (beta), I can see all details and specs but I can’t actually open the actual thread page. Like the original post has comments too which I couldn’t see until I open that listing as an actual post normally.

So to open that exact similar post, I need to open that user’s profile then go to his topics and then find that post to open then I could only see the listing normally as old way with comments.

Either allow comments displaying on market beta posts too or allow to open the actual post by clicking the title or something?

Use this button to view the thread.

On mobile this button turns into this.
