What's your perspective on India's future?

India is just one of the top economies, just in the books I mean.

Indian govt. is depreciating inr to circumvent USA’s tariff antics.

Exactly wrong.

Govt is trying to save INR by selling USD. We pay for oil and other imports in USD.

Why has rupee fallen by 20% in one year alone, still?

Reason is very simple, foreign investors have lost faith in India story. They are cashing out their investment.

Net FDI is all time low.

The writing is already on the wall.

Not only FII pulling out. even Indian cos are investing outside india
2 years back Indian firms invested $14 bn overseas. This has now gone up to $24 bn.

I have never felt so ashamed of these people ( baj rang dal and all)

So much stupidity going on …

Poor old man being bullied over nothing…just trying to make his ends meet and these people cant even spare them.

I am atleast happy that the person who came forward to help was a Hindu also ( not that religion matters) but atleast it gives hope that many Hindus dont stand for this bullshit .

To circumvent tariff impact, exports will earn 20% more INR now ? Otherwise, they have very limited options. If news from Dec.’25 in above image is checked, RBI is taking calculated risks.

FIIs already might’ve planned to eject from overheated, speculative Indian market.

Edit: Now that India-USA trade deal is finalized, things have to totally change.

If they are getting paid in a stable currency like Euro or GBP. USD itself is falling hard.

I have opened an account in EUR for our org and have started moving USD over there. It’s that bad.

One of main issues with doing business in India is complicated laws and in grained corruption in beurocracy.

The laws doesn’t help a small business owner at all. They are needlessly complicated.

Eg: For a medical device import , one had to submit the circuit diagram of the machine. Now which company will release that information.

They created gem platform for procurement and to remove corruption. Now companies contact the people who are releasing tender, payment them and they release tender with specifications and conditions that only person who greased the palms can complete. Which ofcourse defeats whole purpose of government marketplace

No government department does their job without chai paani even if every documentation and files are correct

Unless there is strict action on corruption, everything online and removal of government job’s job security or widespread privatization I don’t see anything improve.

Just reading that triggered some kind of ptsd reaction internally.

I had reconciled all of that long ago by deciding that no one ever wins by playing by the rules. You have to lie, cheat, be secretive, be obscure, be guarded — stuff that goes against every fiber of my being.

So I pay someone else to do that.

I pay agents and brokers and freight forwarders and just have them deal with it. Sadly they all seem to go out of business sooner or later.

Except for maybe iBhejo.

There is one good thing though. In last few years dgft has made entire process of iec certificate, free sale certificate, rcmc etc online.

There is no longer any reason to visit government offices (and grease their palm) for that.

They even added a time limit so the new certificates get generated within a day or two.

On the other hand if there is anything with official visit involved then there is corruption involved.

I lost a >100k shipment in 2008 because it was illegal to import shipments worth more than 100k back then.

They said I need to be a registered business if I wanted to do that. Private party/citizen was not allowed.

I lost a >50k shipment in 2006 because it was illegal to import used or refurbished electronics back then.

They said if I tried to do it again, they’ll arrest me.

Progress is good. Sad we don’t have reparations.

Our customs is one of worst departments.

For people without free sale they charge duties according to their mood. Don’t even get me started on their corruption.

Once I had sent a shipment to Dubai during 2021. There was a rule that states that we have to use wooden crates to pack products bring sent to Dubai that time.

Customs department instead of removing covers of crates (clearly labelled) broke entire crates during routine inspection. What was worse that they didn’t even inform us. Thankfully the shipment company saw their state and fixed then for shipment.

Supreme Kotha .

Judicial reforms are must.

Laws are only applicable to poor and middle-class.

That is why poor and middle class are living in silent fear.

They have no support ..neither financially neither from police and on top they can get in more trouble if they raise their voice.

I keep quoting this..but crazy how right Winston Churchill was. Even though I hate that person… But he did saw it coming way back.

“if Independence is granted to India, power will go to the hands of rascals, rogues, freebooters; all Indian leaders will be of low calibre and men of straw. They will have sweet tongues and silly hearts. They will fight amongst themselves for power and India will be lost in political squabbles. A day would come when even air and water would be taxed in India”
