whatz really happening??

Open Microsoft word and type the following characters exactly which are in double quotes(remove quotes) “=rand (200,99)” then ENTER See what happens. Even Microsoft people were unable to answer and bill gates doesn’t know why this happens :confused:

This is called “easter eggs”. There are many easter eggs for MS excel as well.

Yeah, programmers add them for fun, infact there is a flight simulator hidden in a certain version of MS Excel I believe.

Oh btw the reason I asked was coz I dont have ms office at all.

i think thats a racing game which is hidden in it…

A few days ago i had read about some guys putting pacman and other arcade games inside excel. the files were on some japanese site i think.
you had to enable macros to play the games.
Kinda useful in offices …

This is not a secret or something that MS cannot explain. It is not even an easter egg.
It is VBA (VB for applications).
And I read about this in chip a month or two ago. That was to do with some sort of testing for something or the other which required large amounts of sample text.
