Where to buy laptop screen spare part?

So I have a 30-pin eDP driver board that I bought for my broken laptops screen that looks like this,

Unfortunately while moving houses I didn’t pack the screen properly and the LCD layer broke.

So I’m looking for options online to get a laptop spare part display that is compatible with 30 pin eDP interface and is 1080p.

Do any of you have experience with this sort of thing or if any one has a non-working laptop with motherboard dead I can salvage the screen to test it out with this?

Try locally first and if ur using an external display settle for a scheap 60hz screen if thats ok, I had a dead screen..asus asked 17k for 165hz 2k..I went to local shop and got 60hz 1080 for 3k

Then those websites from where links are given also provide laptop screens.

What place??

if i were you, i would buy a monitor instead, cheap laptop screens are not that admirable and OEM ones cost alot. with monitor yes it wouldnt be portable but i could make a use out of it. for the time being. then sell the laptop online like here in TE and get a new one?

This is more like a side project, ik that 22 inch monitors that are 100hz go for around 5k.

Not looking for OEM parts just a working screen, and my old laptops gone now

how do you manage auto turn on on AC power in a laptop?

Some laptops have auto turn on with adaptor connected, else WOL using router i guess

does yours have it? and WOL is manual right? or are you setting a workflow around it?

OP - where did you buy the controller from and how much? also was the power adaptor included?

There should be a bunch of youtube videos demonstrating the kit. I looked into this long time back but didn’t go ahead.

I have a scratch less 11.6 inch 768p screen with the older 30 pin connector. My goto was aliexpress, now idk. Even with having a screen, the cost seems prohibitive to make this work.

Don’t know your use case but I think selling the kit new and buying a used monitor would be more economical.

OT - There is a 27 inch 4k 144Hz monitor with minor scratch available for 6k on the forum now.

can anyone here guide me for using lvds controllers, OP i think this could come in handly to you as well.
Btw i have some spare alienware laptop displays, not sure if currently working or not im willing it give it a try.

I got it from aliexpress (when I was outside India) . was cheap around 1k. No power adapter but you get cheap ones here for around 150-250.

I want portability and I have interest in 3D printing hence I started the project. But it’s shelved since 2 years.

Getting a portable monitor should cost around 8-10k hence this project seemed doable as it would cost me max 4-5k.

It’s pretty much plug and play. Send details on your alienware displays.
