Google Pixel 10 → ~₹67k (again, worth stretching?)
OnePlus 13s → maybe ~₹46k? Not sure on the exact pricing.
What I want is a solid all-rounder that doesn’t compromise much – ideally something with great cameras, design, reliable updates, and good service support in India. I don’t want to overspend if ₹60k is already too much for what I need, but I also don’t want regrets 2–3 years down the line.
Questions:
Which of these would you recommend for my use case?
Is the S24 Ultra or Pixel 10 really worth going above budget?
Between Pixel 9 @ 38k and S24 @ 38k, which is better value long-term?
TL;DR: Budget 60k max. Priorities = reliability > camera > design > performance. Considering OP13, Pixel 9/10, S24, S24 Ultra, OP13s. Want a phone that lasts 4+ years with great cameras. Which one would you pick?
Among these phones s24U has the largest sensor. Although oneplus has the widest aperture at 1.6, and s24u at 1.7. This should basically give better night light photography.
I dont know. I have only used that phone so I could say for sure it truly is impressive.
I even mentioned about it last year also about how beautiful the pics were. Here are some sample pics from S24U
Every year with the prices of chinese phones, who got here by stealing IPs.. positioning their offerings as an iphone or samsung competitor, while also spying for CCP.. The iphone becomes a value proposition.
Bold claims. Apple also steals your data btw but that’s somehow okay for some people. There’s been more leaks coming from icloud than chinese branded phones.
On the contrary, the restrictions you’re bound to with apple devices boggles my mind. I have been using Android since eclair. Started using ipad since 6 months and the restrictions, ads, etc is frustrating.
If only Apple can its phones affordable. I mean they can make budget iphones and flagships also priced in different price categories.
In 2019 I bought a Samsung M series and in 2023 I bought a Realme because Samsung is till offering stupid cpus and storage specs for the same price where Realme & Oneplus Nord phones are priced. So I went with Realme.
We indians have a lot of choice nowadays but not from chinese, american, finnish or korean companies but among cheap chinese brands.
Even though Home Ministry knows about CCP spying on everybody using their processors or software they arent pushing for more competition and variety in SOCs given by above specified brands.
10% discount doesn’t work like that sir.. There is usually a cap to it. Mostly 1.5/2k. But yeah, you can hope for a card discount..
It is almost always including a card discount unless explicitly mentioned (Like iPhone 16 deal for 52k, it s excluding card discount. With card offers, it is 49k something). Arrange a card in advance if you don’t have one already.
Latest models hardly see any price drop. Brands don’t prefer to sell their “Premium” devices on a discount (Unless you are nothing and have to drop the price in order to sell any units )
If camera is a big priority then iPhone it is. Samsungs are the most unreliable cameras out there. Pixel is fine wrt camera, but modem issues, battery isn’t that great either but still acceptable.
