Deejay its not a castrated model, its one of value chipset introduced by ATI infact I had mentioned a long time back at TA this is gonna be a Geforce 6600 GT killer…
On other notes :
- Geforce 6600 GT AGP = 150$
- Geforce 6800 = 200$
- Sapphire X800 pro = 250$
- Connect3d X800XL = 285$
- ATI All in Wonder X800XT = 330$
Phew 330$ = 14200 Rs hows that for an AIW X800 XT !!!

A 6600 GT killer no doubt.
the pricing is as per expectations.
6600gt is priced 150$=Rs.6750 but it is available 4 Rs.11000
so if x800xt is at 330$=Rs.14200 but it will be probably available 4 about 24-26k
when will x800 come to india,cost?
Infact last heard a Powercolour X800 XT was for 31k… Sad Indian prices, now +4% VAT almost everywhere. Stupid Govt said it will bring the prices down, but its just doing the opposite. And then they provide free power to the farmers Geez

I don’t think any version of a X800 will ever drop below 15k. Even if does it will be with such low specs that the 6600GT will kill it.
nVidia RULES in the Mid-range AGP market
nopes… the 128MB X800 vanilla is faster than the 6600GT in everything including Doom3. Having 12 pipes and 256bit memory path helps 
dude in doom3 in atleast some benchies if not all x800xl can’t beat geforce 6600gt.

I seriously doubt a 16 pipe 256bit card unable to beat 8 pipe 128 bit card..
X800 PCIE version not available in India.
@Anish X800 is for 200$ and it beats the hell outta a 6600 GT, but then again look at the current US prices :
- 6600GT 150$
- X800 PCIE 200$
- Geforce 6800 NU 220$
