1 Dollar now just 42.74 Rupees (April 6th)

i thought the rupee went up because the dollar came down rather than the other way round....at least thats what they said on CNN, the US economy isn't exactly growing well, hope the value of the dollar keeps dropping so we can be a debt free country some day :ohyeah:
 
J&K wouldn't have become a disputed region if not for that stupid and egoistic Nehru. he took the bloody issue to the UN when the indian army was winning the war against those scum bags.

Now, coming to this issue, will this mean that the shopkeepers morons will lower the price for consumer electronics??? After all they are always quick to increase prices when the dollar value goes up??
 
one thing is sure dont expect further downfall

govt wont let dollar to fall ard 40 or less than that......unless a big crash happens in us market......us growth rate is slower so rupee is stronger...rupee hasnt done any job to b stronger.....

if rates fall like this big exporter guns will loose alot and also alot of product will remain in domestic market.....hence price fall may be in cards......rbi will buy as much as dollar as it could to sustain price of dollar at ard 43+...though in day time it may fall at ard 42 but again rbi will buy the green stuffs

I don't quite get you. How can the RBI manipulate the value of the Rupee ? (Science student. No idea about this stuff..)

hehe its just amazing how easy it is to undermine somebody, people just forget all that somebody did for the country when it comes to issues like this....:no:
 
akshit....me to science feild...but now trying to get my eco funda right a bit
dollar value fall mens..all people selling dollar and taking rupees(in india)...which means demnd of rupees go high so its becomes a valuable and its stronger........

the rbi crr(repo rate and all) increase and all means whtever bank deposit in rbi that amount is increased...in sense crr increase means local banks have to deposit more amount in rbi...(hope im right)......hence local bank will have less money in its garage....so they increase loan rates and people have to take loan as its white money

with that money rbi buys dollar so that rupee is given bak in market and dollar is made strong.....this all stuffs are done so that countries export market remains strong..and dollar keeps coming in the country.....

now suppose an exporter sell a good for 300$ in usa......now with dollar price falling...he will get less conversion rupee hence what he will try is increase the tag to 350$ which makes the product more expensive for usa ppl compared to chinese or any other quality market......and losses customer....so countries chance of geting dollar also losses

plus all of india's forex reserves is in dollars :) ...so dollar dropping is not really a nice thing ....its not black and white.... like if rupee strengthens then india is growing stronger :)
 
i meant ppl take loans frm bank since its white money..else ppl can easily borrow frm lenders at lower rate......with no paper hassle and all....but than the guys will come and ask frm where u got this much to pay if not shown and if shown liabilities increases..but mostly ppl take it frm bank so that they can avail tax deduction also

and ya rupee getting strong means indias progressing but actually dollar is weakening as i said before

hehe!! It's not a big secret that nehru was a moron when it came to foreign policy and defence issues.The fact that he never listened to anyone outside his trusted inner circle consisting of Mr. mennon , Lord Mountbatten,etc,etc made the matters worse.At one point , he even talked about disbanding the indian army:rofl: :rofl: He felt that the police are good enough to do the job:rofl: :rofl:.
Infact the impressive military and diplomatic blunders he committed during the 50's resulted in the ignomious defeat at the hands of the chinese.I know everybody makes mistakes but only a true moron refuses to learn from his past mistakes.He was single handedly responsible for kashmir becoming a disputed region,and for chinese capture/occupation of tibet and then 30,000 sq kms of indian territory.Thank god he died soon after that!!:) :)
 
^True. After his demise and 1962, Nehru was no longer an attractive name. Even his own daughter assumed the surname "Gandhi" by marrying a Parsi and changing his surname to Gandhi first. She knew it well that "Gandhi" was the only option left after the notoriority of "Nehru". Honestly, I have very highly extremist views on how to "cure" this country of all its evils. But you wouldn't want to hear of it I think, because it will do both good and bad, though in the end serve for a greater good.

But what am I dreaming, I am never going to accomplish such a thing. :P
 
yepp... ans it seems to be going downhil further.... so all those ppl who have to buy stuff from abraod... this is a wonderful time.... specially with R600 and 8600 etc hitting the shelves
 
chances of it to break 40 rupees mark was for 2010...but its seen that this will happen this year........

reason for this fall is banks are selling dollars to buy rupees to increase there liquidity in market which has been reduced by increase crr

What's wrong with it? To me, all politicians are the same. Like how Uncyclopedia defines India. All educated Indians are computer programmers, and the uneducated ones are politicians. The only time we'll be seeing any major "Good" changes to the mentality of the government here and its people (for example - Driving Sense. In India, the old lady has to wait for the car to pass, in Developed countries, its the other way around) is when there'll be a major government overhaul, who's 1st main purpose is not to "improve" India, but to totally crush and exterminate the whole typical run-of-the-mill corrupted Ministers sense here.

Which won't happen anytime soon. And I don't care if its foreigner who is controlling everything as long as it works better for the development of the country.

And I'm not defending Sonia. I agree with all of you here.

But that doesn't mean her example should lead to any other foreigner being blocked from entering the government to help India out.
 
India is where it is because of some stupid lawless states.. Otherwise it would be far ahead economically, and is it just a co-incidence all of those states are in North India ?

BTW atleast we as citizens need to vote, its our duty.. crap politicians or otherwise..
