Storage Solutions 1 TB External drives without power adaptor ?

My friend wants to buy a 1TB external HDD and he wants to know weather these HDD need external power or not.He prefers HDDs without external power, so please suggest some that are available online.

As of now, the highest capacity for a 2.5" drive is 500GB.

In other words, the only way to get a 1TB external drive is in the 3.5" form factor, which means you will need a power adaptor.

Tape 2 500GB 2.5" and place them in a custom built fibre/rubber casing so that the tape is not seen - then use 2 USB connectors to run them - tell your friend that its a 1 Tb but more space so more power required.

If he complaints about two drive letters - tell him that it comes pre-partitioned

on top of that 500GB 2.5" hdds cost a bomb and prices of these drives fall very sharply. So unless really required, ask ur friend to get on sufficient space hdd.

500Gb 2.5" arent VFM atm, unless u get a great deal from ebay or from abroad.
