Hey guys, did anyone catch the australia - japan match today?
Man it was kinda boaring in 2nd half but last 6 minutes were sensational. Japan scored illegal goal when AU goalkeeper was fauled while taking free kick but dont know if officials were sleeping or day dreaming but the goal was allowed.
And it was 0-1 japan till 84th minute and then Australia completely blew away the japanise with 3 goals 1 of which came in extra time. It was unbelievable environment.
Australia'a 1st goal and win in the world cup. And that too this way.

On the other hand Czech Republic absolutely trashed USA with 3-0 clinical perfect win. It was perfect football. And 2nd goal by Rosicky was stunner. The way they played was perfect. After looking at their game in absence of their 3 main strikers i kinda think Czech's will go far, really far in this worldcup. Rosicky was on fire with 2 goals.

Those who missed atleast catch the highlights tomorrow or atlest clips in news. specially Rosicky goal.
 
yep..watched the australia - japan match,,

it was awesome....the way aussies won the match was unbelievable..

i really like the never say die spirit of those aussies.
 
Alaves striker John Aloisi made all the difference.The match sprung into action after he came on as a substitute.He assisted in the first 2 and scored the 3rd.And Aussies didnt even use Parma Maestro Mark Bresciano.

Gus Hiddink is one helluva coach.He took South Korea to the semis,wonder how far he will take the Aussies :).
 
I was rooting for the Aussies, and they were anyway the better team; on paper and on the field. This was one high stakes that I would have won :(
 
i think on paper, japan ranks 18th and aussies 42nd..

so, this one is a kind of upset.
 
Awesome games, even Italy - Ghana.

Italy's 1st half passing was mind-blowing.

Superb games, absolutely.
 
actiually i was more impressed by Ghana passing. Only if their strikers were on target for a change.

In first half they had soo many chances, but not a single shot on target. If half the shots were on target it would have been different story. Ghana simply blew it away in 1st half with poor finish. Their passing, space creation was too good for the team of their experience atleast in 1st half.
 
Ghana was very impressive...if only they could finish well...they were quick with the ball and managed to get past that italian defence once in a while ...if only they could finish :(

I remember of players in Aussie team from the english premier league while hardly any are there from japan.
