100 EMAILS DAILY-flooded-see screenshoot

Hiiiiiiii........

I am almost getting twice daily 100 emails...all classical spam...makes no sense...i use primarily rediffmail account...(cannot change as in touch with so many people through this email from last 4-5 years)

seems someone has gone after my life...what to do...its so tough to see which one or two is most important out of 200 emails (197 are junk on an average) and ensuring not to delete It...

please helpppppppppppppppppppppppp............................

regards

sunando

Maybe you have auto-reply on and the auto replies to non existent spam IDs are getting bounced further adding to your junk.

Once what I did was open a guesatbook on geocities. Then set an auto reply stating that I'm not going to use this ID anymore and directed the mailer to leave a message at the guestbook and I'll respond with my new ID :ashamed: .

You must have entered your ID at many sites which do not have a spam-protection policy !

Too bad, nothing much you can do about it, only changing you ID will help...

I have the same problem with the rediffmail account, the only mail that obediantly comes in everyday is spam . If its that important to you then,i guess you have no choice,or try and see if they have a POP mail forwarding option ,where you can transfer it to a mail account with better filters ,but i think Redif charges you 400/- odd for that.

Since the screenie shows large number of mail from a seemingly static id ,why dont you go to "my settings->spam filter->create new filter" then direct all the postmaster mails to a junk folder ? I dont think the "this is spam" option (beside delete button) works properly, but thats worth a try as well.

all the mails in the screen shot are delivery failure mails..so he should check his auto reply option first.
